The Night

Surround me.
Force out days distractions
Yet enforce your own upon me.

Enshroud me in your caress
Of air, the scent
A beauty within itself.

Aborb all light
From dusk until dawn.
Every body shall be impoverished

Yet blessed
By the unspoken entity
Of the velvet blaze.

Smothering sight while
Enhancing my vision
of approaching chastisement.

What are you
Other than a reflection
Of your brighter half?
