Rating: 0.00 For Those Who Weep Diamonds
by Vicki Nemeth (2000)
The roses in my garden wept today,
So I asked them,
"Roses, why do you weep so sorrowfully
When you have no eyes to weep from?
Why do such tears sparkle upon you
Though your beauty cannot be synthesized?
Thy tears are like diamonds.
Your sadness isn't recognized,
And so it's beauty brings others pleasure,
Sorrowful pleasure.
Why do you weep so,
When your leaves shine like the moon,
And your petals glow like the sun?"
And the roses said back to me,
"We weep with such great sorrow,
For the most beautiful of our sisters bow their heads,
And cannot be seen
By all but those few
Who understand that they shall find,
If only they look."
