Amy gently slid her brother's dark blue raincoat over his arms. She did up the zipper and tucked the collar under his chin. He smiled at her lovingly, a big-eyed puppy-dog smile. She watched with only a slight twinge of alarm now as a frown creased his brow, and confusion clouded his pale blue eyes. She took his palm and tenderly wrote the letters a-m-y on the baby soft skin. Recognition burst like sunshine through his features, a huge ear-to-ear grin spread across his face.
"A-my," he said haltingly, and gave her a enormous hug.
Soft tears slid down her face.
