Is it possible to be cursed and blessed? If you’re bound, both soul and heart to something inanimate, such as a necklace or a doll, does that make you mortal but immortal to injuries? So if you were heartless, and someone you possibly “loved” left you, could you be heartbroken? These were just a few thought’s that ran through her wondering mind. She wondered where her inanimate object had taken her to now. She held the book close to her chest with both arms. She stumbled through the desert sand dunes quickly and clumsy. Her heart pounded inside her oversized black sweatshirt. It was ripped in various places from the different scenery she had been in. She wore a pair of everlasting deep blue colored jeans and black sandals. Sand spilled into her shoes and she wondered why that sand caused discomfort. She didn’t understand much. She didn’t even know why or how she was there, walking in the great sand dunes. She just knew that her book had done it again and taken here somewhere. Maybe it was the incantations she read in there. It was no language that she understood or spoke. It was like, at a certain time the words released inside of her and she understood them somehow, and she knew what to say and do with them. She lugged her heavy burden around some more, now peering down upon its blackness and the purple pentagram on the cover. She continued to hike with nothing in sight but sand and more sand. Some amount of time later, she found an oasis. She stumbled to it and down to the cool pool of water under the shade of the tree. She held the book in her left arm and reached with her right hand down in the pool. She dipped it into the water, its coolness making her feel alive again after being in that intense heat. She cupped her hand and brought the mouth watering coolness from the pool and swiftly to her mouth. She drank in pure rage only to choke and gag on it. She closed her eyes and when she opened them again the pool and the shade was gone. She didn’t understand. So at times like this she consulted her book for her best friend’s advice. She laid the book in the sand and opened it to the third page. She moved her right hand over the words and the incantation flooded her mind and spoke itself through her mouth. Her eyes went a still white as she spoke the words, “Ashita no mae otokawa aseru baeday shalom”. Her brown wavy locks began to glow with a lighted pulse. A purple pentagram formed on her palm and it began to glow with the same golden hue, now tinted with purple. She looked to the sky as a small purple and blue glowing orb slowly shaped itself into her friend. The black crow shook its blue and purple covered body, revealing its green tinted feathers beneath. The crow took its rightful place on her shoulder and looked at her. “What is the matter Nevertine?” She looked down at the sand pitifully and then out to where the tree’s where supposed to be. The crow was very close to her and could sense her mind waves without her having to speak. “Ah, that was a mirage Nevertine; a simple trick of the mind. You are very thirsty no? Why don’t you consult the book to go somewhere for water eh? Maybe there you’ll find your purpose in the world no?” She stood and he fluttered in front of her. “Yes, Daecidus; maybe I shall.” She placed her hand over top of where the book laid and it lifted itself to her arms. It pages flipped themselves to a random place in the book. Her eyes went white, Daecidus, landed on her shoulder and his eyes glowed red, and she read the mind flooding incantation from force. “Asaka no teru baydete nevwa ey sakonoruta aleayto” and a purple-blue portal appeared in front of her, just like when Daecidus formed. It shimmered and little white flashes shot out this way and that. She stepped forward on the books accord and she vanished into another world.
