Song of the Insane

swept up in madness,
enthralled with derangement.
asleep and still dreaming
all the while wakeful and screaming.

insanity rules my tainted subconscious
overpowering all meanings of whats right and wrong.
so i dance in my head a tune of odd sorts,
repeating ceaselessly my eternal song.

la lala la, round in my head.
twisted thoughts of dying and dead.
swoon through the madness;
through all happy and sadness.

la lala la, round and around,
my sanity's lost, to never be found.
la lala la round and around,
a song so feeble and yet so profound.
