Under Streetlights-


Cast aside
In pooring rain
Left alone
With all the pain

Under streetlights whisper slowly
Feel the darkness fall so lowly
Pull the hood on shoulders weary
Cover eyes, so cold and teary

Into darkness surely slip
As the raindrops drip and drip
Sink to nothing; empty heart
Collapse and fade; fall apart

Streetlights fade and sunshine creeps
Where the body sits and sleeps
This body never more shall weep
Shall never wake; eternal sleep.
