Wonder

Wonder is a butterfly hovering above a flower,
A ray of light in a dusty room,
A rainbow after a storm.

Wonder is a fox cub learning to hunt,
A baby saying it’s first word,
A kangaroo taking it’s first jump.

Wonder is a dolphin leaping above the wave,
A school of silver fish turning perfectly,
A frond of seaweed hiding a shell.

Wonder is light reflecting off ice,
A dewdrop on a leaf,
The glint of frost on grass.

Wonder is a flower blooming red,
A tree changing color,
A holly hidden under snow.

Wonder is a child looking at a bird,
A cat curled up and sleeping,
A squirrel racing along a branch.

Wonder is a wave breaking on a cliff,
A wild stormy night,
A sunset gold and orange.
