Detailed short history. Or as short as it can be. This will be uploaded wholly on this page because it really isn't supposed to be that long. I'll try to make it within the limits of a short story. Watch me fail.

Includes disturbing things.

Badly unfinished too. It's missing stuff from the beginning, end and middle!

At the end of this page there's Vineg's real ("short") bio, in case anyone's interested.

Vineg Tor'eael's background

0 – Birth

After Are'lia's first, long and energy-consuming delivery, the expected child finally came into the world, aided by one midwife, an old woman, and her husband, Jonin. As soon as the child was out, the older woman handed it happily to the mother while waiting for the placenta to come out. Extremely happy now that the whole ordeal was done with, Are'lia merely soothed the screaming baby for a moment. In the meantime, Jonin smiled like crazy and wiped blood off the baby and Are'lia.
In a moment, the older woman notified that it looked like as if the placenta was coming, and asked for the baby's sex since she had casually missed it, having handed the child over so quickly. Are'lia smiled and lifted the now somewhat calmer child off her chest, and was shocked senseless. Jonin had thought the child was a boy, but after seeing Are'lia's expression, looked closer and was approximately as shocked as she was. Meanwhile, the older woman was busy with the placenta and forgot about her question. The new parents just stared at their child. It was not until the woman moved, taking the placenta further away to its reserved place, that Jonin realized they have to say something to her. Having forgotten her question already as well, he just walked hastily over to her and asked her to leave so they could be at peace with the new baby. Of course, after a few reminders, the woman left and only thought of her question too late, deciding to return at a later date.
The shocked parents spent the rest of the day discussing and arguing over the biological gender of the child.
Even after several days and weeks, they could not agree with each other. Jonin always thought whatever the child did was a sign that it was more of a boy and needed to be raised as a boy, and Are'lia always thought that whatever the child did indicated that it was more feminine and needed to be raised as a girl. Are'lia was badly depressed for a time, and Jonin did not really feel much better either, taking more free time from his job to argue with or comfort his wife. At least they could compromise on naming the child, and eventually named it Vineg.
The issue went unsolved, and the parents eventually stopped fighting loudly and instead resorted to more subtle action, such as dressing the baby up in girlish or boyish clothes and talking to it like to a boy or girl.

1.10 – abandoned, found by Non'rid Tor'eael

Eventually Are'lia got pregnant again, even if the couple had been worried that the next child might end up weird as well. Nearer to the end of the pregnancy when Are'lia couldn't move around much and was rather uncomfortable, Jonin used that to his advantage and took the helpless Vineg away from the house to a distant location, intending to leave em there. He hesitated many times, but in the end, managed to leave the child there. He returned home, and on his way back had made up his mind to be so firm that Are'lia would think he had no doubt in his mind whether or not it had been for the best. Naturally, they both fought over it several times, but Jonin remained firm. After the second, normal child was born, they were happy and excited, eventually forgetting about the whole ordeal with their first one.

Unknown to the young couple, an old Dah'kin named Non'rid Tor'eael had been watching them, having first heard from the old midwife that something odd might have been going on. Ever the voyeur, the retired Doomsday Knight stalked the small family from the first day on while on a private mission. When Jonin left with Vineg, Non'rid followed him and collected the crying baby from the ground. Catching up to Jonin quickly enough, Non'rid followed him and observed the ordeal for a few more weeks after the second child was born.
He thought what he would do to the strange, crying epicene Eolan – of course, besides studying the strangeness of the kid – eventually deciding to take the child to Dah'kin areas, bring em up there and see what time would bring.

Non'rid was not a good parent, but through the theory of reward and punishment, he managed to make Vineg obedient and strong. He did not much let Vineg go out or see other people, even less children. Non'rid was not very keen on staying put in one place, so he and Vineg traveled around somewhat, which was also good in the sense that it helped Vineg stay unidentified – Non'rid and Vineg were not too fond of explaining the story to every person to cross their way. Additionally, Non'rid did not too much like the fact that Vineg was a Planetarii, and Vineg grew to feel ashamed of that.
Non'rid did not mind that Vineg was an epicine, in fact that issue only made the child ever so more interesting – for the worse from Vineg's point of view, but then again, without that little quirk Non'rid would probably have just eaten em, even if that did not cross young Vineg's mind. Of course, Vineg knew that eir real parents would not have abandoned em if ey had been normal. Vineg was embarrassed when Non'rid glared at em and did things to em – however, ey would have gotten used to that unless Non'rid had not insisted on hiding Vineg from other people. Vineg did not want to hide, even if ey disliked explaining stuff to people, so ey eventually grew to feel ashamed of eir sex issue as well, yet being unable to decide whether ey wanted to be a boy or a girl. Non'rid told em that ey was a rarity, liked em just the way ey was and that he certainly did not care what ey wanted to do about the sex issues as long as he did not have to do extra explaining or otherwise get into trouble.

27.11–28 – slowed down

Vineg was spending a night in a bar, pondering somewhat over Tyh'koi. After the second beer, however, ey felt more like having sex than mourning over the issue. Not having a partner at the moment nor seeming to be the ideal one night's case of the day, Vineg decided to drastically improvise with public advertizing.
"Hey everyone!" ey started, getting the attention of about half of the people in the bar – after all, ey did not want to get thrown out for harassing others. "I am a real hermaphrodite and I want to have some fun tonight!" Vineg's announcement certainly turned some heads, and many of the people stared at em for a short moment.
"How about if you show us what you have first and we decide then?" asked a flirty looking Tiger from a nearby table.
Vineg grinned, but did not know what to respond first. Ey glanced at the bartender, who immediately said: "Go ahead, but I get a free look."
Letting out a short laugh, Vineg set eir finished drink on another chair and got up on the table, starting to undress. "Why don't you all pay me, let's say, five GP for this performance, eh?"
"Sure", said the aforementioned Tiger with a laugh, dropping ten GP in front of Vineg on the table. Vineg grinned and watched as the others who had gathered around eir table paid their five GP and occasionally some extra. Smiling as ey counted that everyone this far around the table haid paid, ey got out of eir pants and positioned emself on the table so that nearly everyone could see what ey had between eir legs. The reactions were varied, some were astonished, some merely amused, some wowed and some were disgusted. More people came over to look and Vineg made sure they paid their part.
Eventually everyone who wanted had seen enough, and most people went back to their tables. Six people remained around the table when Vineg started pulling eir clothes on. After having got eir pants back on, ey sat on the edge of the table and eyed the six people. "So, any one or more of you want to get on with it?" The people eyed each other slightly. "Whoever offers most will get to have fun", ey went on with a smirk. Three of the people backed away slightly, and two of those went back to their own business. The other three eyed Vineg curiously.
Finally a tall Lochmorian man said: "How about twenty GP?" Vineg smiled at him, and the rest of the people left with a laugh.
"Well, I guess that's settled, then", continued Vineg as ey gathered the gold and eir other possessions. Ey stood up next to the man, approximately twenty centimeters shorter, and looked up at him. "Shall we get a room or do you have a free house nearby?"
"Let's get a room. I'm far away from home", he said with a smile. He got a room key from the bartender and led Vineg to the room while asking: "What's your name?"
     Vineg grinned, but said: "Vineg."
The man smiled. "That's fitting. I am Aralik." He opened the door and went in. Vineg went in after him, starting to drop eir equipment on the floor, and as soon as he had put some of his equipment down, Vineg put eir arms over his shoulders and hugged his back. Ey soon felt his hands on eir hips, tracing eir figure. Vineg sighed, pressing eir head against the man's neck. Aralik felt his way on Vineg's backside until ey let go of his neck. He turned around and looked at Vineg, laying his hands on eir shoulders. "You do look more feminine than masculine."
"Most men say so when having sex."
     "Really?"
"Women tell me I'm more masculine", said Vineg with a grin. "I guess they compare me to themselves and see me as their opposite." Vineg shrugged and took eir hands to Aralik's chest, starting to undo the shirt buttons.
"Well, you are certainly extraordinary. Why are you a hermaphrodite?"
Vineg scoffed. "I was born this way."
Aralik smiled while rubbing Vineg's shoulders. "Can you bear and father children?"
"Neither. I am infertile." Vineg paused for a moment. "Of course, I have never actually tried, nor have I ever seen the women after having sex with them..."
     "That is a shame."
"It's not like I wanted kids in the first place." Ey finished opening the buttons, sliding eir hands to the man's back and then leaned on him, making him and emself fall on the bed that was behind him.

Vineg Tor'eael

Player – [Veltzeh]

Name – Vineg Tor'eael

Race – Planetarii

Sub-race – Eolan

Class – Doomsday Knight

Allegiance – None

Appearance – 175 cm, somewhat muscular and at the same time curvy build. Vineg's light gray hair is often very messy and medium length. It's usually held in place by a black ribbon or a headband. Vineg's eyes are piercing blue with a clear green tint to them. Its pale skin is covered by different scars, of which the most noticeable include: a swordslash across the stomach; strange rash on the forearms and wrists; deep dagger cuts on the thighs; obvious whip marks on the chest, lower stomach and whole back; symmetrical claw marks on both sides of the head and on the shoulders; and excessive scratches on the lower legs. The tiny wings from Vineg's wrists have been ripped away, but they are growing back. Its ear wings as well as the ones on its shoulders are intact as of now, even if they seem somewhat ragged. Vineg's clothing is fairly simple: it wears somewhat baggy pants, a rather thin undershirt and a sort-sleeved tunic over it. It wears its black robe, cloak and armor when needed, but when traveling light, it makes do with just the black cloak over its regular clothes. It sometimes has gloves that reach to the middle of its forearms to hide its small wings there. It has gray boots that, however worn they look, are still waterproof and older than Vineg itself is.

Age – 29

Personality – Vineg is very cold, bitter, whiny, treacherous, tough, easily annoyed and often rather short-tempered. It has next to none appreciation for other lives and it has never actually known any actual happiness. It can be flirty when needed (usually for reaching goals the easy way or for simple pleasure), but it really doesn't seem to be capable of social commitment. It doesn't tend to be wholly serious all the time, nor does it joke around excessively. However, Vineg is also rather careless, laid-back, even friendly in the account that it isn't intending to to rob or kill the people near it. It's hard-working and honest at heart, even if it usually pretends it's not. It lets small lies slip easily, and doesn't feel uneasy when deceiving people, but it prefers honest speak, if not for anything else than shocking other people with its awful stories. Vineg used to be scared and ashamed of being an androgyne, but overcame that and is now rather proud of itself, even though it still would like to be normal. Surprisingly, if given the chance to be normal, it wouldn't even be able to choose whether it would like to be a male or female. Experience taught it that a Planetarii as a Doomsday Knight is even less acceptable than being an androgyne, but during its recent days, choosing to be of that class has been its own decision and it is sometimes delighted of the utter chaos its mere being causes – even if it is stressing in the long run. Vineg does prefer to be left alone, but doesn't particularly avoid crowds and other people in general. It makes sure to not trust anyone with its life or anything that has even some importance to it.

History
Vineg's parents were very confused when their first child was born. They couldn't determine the child's sex, and finally the mother ended up treating Vineg like a girl and the father like a boy. Eventually this led to big disagreements between the parents and they continuously fought over their views, forgetting the child almost completely. When the mother became pregnant again, the father used that to his advantage, took the now-dressed-in-pink child and got rid of it, leaving it to die in a forest. The mother was of course upset, but the second child eventually made both of them forget about their first one.
Vineg was found by a Dah'kin voyeur who had been keeping an eye on the disintegrated family ever since Vineg had been born. The old Doomsday Knight called Non'rid Tor'eael thought it would be magnificiently twisted to raise the controversial Planetarii androgyne as one of the Dah'kin and then show the pitiful parents what their feeble narrow-mindedness had caused. Thus, Non'rid took the little infant with him.
Vineg eventually grew to hate its "condition", as well as its parents of whom Non'rid often told stories. Vineg couldn't know it for sure, but everything Non'rid ever said about them was always true. At times, the stories were so unbelievable that Vineg told Non'rid he was lying, to which he always said: "Why would I lie?" Non'rid himself was not exactly a good or even mediocre father; he was trustworthy as a basic provider and nothing else. Another reason for him initially picking up Vineg was because he thought Vineg was rather interesting (in the most suspicious meanings of the word) and took many chances just to abuse, embarrass, confuse and otherwise harass and molest the poor kid. He often told Vineg that it was a worthless and unwanted piece of useless effort and that it should be happy that he had ever bothered even this far with it – and then Vineg let him do whatever he wanted to it. Non'rid took a liking to pulling out or otherwise mutilating Vineg's small wings whenever they were fully healed or looked like they drew too much attention. After all, Non'rid wasn't exactly keen on being seen with any Planetarii like this, but fortunately Vineg passed for a Dah'kin when needed, even smell-wise since Non'rid was rather careful with respect to "marking his territory".
Near to Vineg's twentieth birthday, Non'rid took Vineg back to where it was born to finally meet its real parents. The event ended in Vineg cursing its parents and younger siblings to the darkest cesspits on the continent, its parents responding accordingly, and Vineg getting so angry that it gladly fought its family and killed every one of them in no time, even though it received a bad beating itself. After the assault, Non'rid was gleeing happy for the bloodshed caused by his "step-child", and he took Vineg away and helped it to overcome the wounds it had received. However, Non'rid again continued molesting the young Doomsday Knight before its wounds had even fully healed. After a week or embarrassing suffering, Vineg realized that after this show of brute prowess it shouldn't be able take that kind of treatment from anybody. Thus, the next time Non'rid assaulted it, it first let him do what he wanted, and when he was occupied enough, stung him in the side, causing a lethal wound. Vineg struggled with the man for a few short minutes before the Dah'kin lost his strength and could do nothing anymore. It then watched as Non'rid died, feeling extraordinarily delighted at seeing him curse its treachery.
Vineg continued living, now completely free of any bonds it might have had. However, the responsibility it now had over itself was stressing; this far Non'rid had after all been providing it with the basic things it had needed. Even though it couldn't be completely carefree or happy in the literal meaning of the word, it enjoyed its overall freedom. For the first time in its life it would only inflict pain and not receive any. Vineg's next few years consisted of inherently evil deeds, violent deaths and bloody rapings – which of course led to intensive running away, the occasional arrest and a short or not-so-short stay at a prison. It mostly spent its time in small prisons from where it either escaped, waited until the sentence was over, or occasionally even bribed a guard. After that it traveled elsewhere, which also took time. The prisons never really left a mark on Vineg, no matter what was done to it, as they were so unpersonal and Vineg always felt alone even in the tightest crowd. There, nothing meant anything.
The first prison Vineg was thrown in illustrated perfectly that its deeds definitely wouldn't all go unnoticed. It was a small, unremarkable prison, but at least for Vineg, the newbie to prisons, it was a real hellhole. It certainly didn't help that Vineg was extraordinary, as the other prisoners tended to pay more attention to it. It often got its food, water and clothes stolen and was physically abused, though not for long as it stood up against the others. Not knowing how to escape, Vineg sat the whole of its first sentence before getting out. Fortunately it was not long, since the authorities didn't know what all it had done. Having got out, Vineg swore to be more careful, but ended up arrested again after only three weeks. This time it managed to escape. After that it has gone approximately similarly every time it has gotten caught.
The worst place Vineg has been in this far was the prison of Orvedhalen in Lochmore, where it was mostly constantly abused by an Eolan and an Ignean inmate, as well as by most of the guards. It tended to not get any food at all, and being in a more or less damp cell secluded from the outside world the fresh air couldn't nourish it either. Still it didn't much care, as it was so unpersonal, it sometimes even enjoyed their "abuse" when they didn't know how to hurt it. Eventually its third cellmate, another Eolan, started sharing his food with Vineg, and even some more time after that the guards started finally giving it food also. However, the guards still didn't do anything about the mild abusing it received from the other two Planetarii. Finally, when the third Eolan stood up for Vineg and the other two were about to batter him instead, Vineg gathered its strength and bashed the two bleeding, broken and unconscious. Of course, this time the guards came and Vineg was punished in unimaginably horrid ways. After that, Vineg just slept or whined in pain for the most of the days. The two Planetarii had gotten warnings (even if they were from only one guard who thought they had better leave Vineg alone now), and after Vineg beat them they weren't that eager to assault it again anyway. The third Eolan took care of Vineg a little since it had defended him. The guard that had warned the two inmates had a some sort of liking for Vineg after feeling so sorry for it when it had been punished. Eventually that guard helped Vineg and the third Eolan inmate escape, and they ran off somewhere else. After some time the guard noticed that helping Vineg escape was a bad mistake, and thus Vineg fought him and won, killing him. The other Eolan didn't approve of it at all and also fought Vineg. Since Vineg was already half beaten, the other won, but did not kill it. Instead, he merely told it to leave him alone, and Vineg couldn't object. He disappeared and eventually Vineg forgot him.
Although Vineg has always hated being an androgyne because it thought that was pretty much the only reason for its terrible suffering, it could never decide what else it could be if not an androgyne. At times, and even when naked, it was able to pass for a member of either sex, but it never could permanently decide, and that started eventually getting on its nerves. It didn't help that in nearly all prisons it had been to it was put with the males either because there were no female prisoners or because Vineg could harm the women in a way a real woman couldn't. Yet the men mostly treated it like they would a woman. The only time it was placed with women the guards yelled at it that if it did anything to the women, it would suffer like never before. Vineg was ready to agree on that and left the women alone, but the women had heard the guards and went sneaky on it. They lured it to be friendly with them and slept with it, only to accuse it of assaulting them. The women teamed up against Vineg and it was nearly flayed by the guards. Thinking how useless it had been, when Vineg finally made its escape, it killed two of the women and took two with it to abuse them accordingly.
During the more recent times, Vineg itself started getting sick of all the death and misery it caused, so it slowed down a little. That improved its life considerably, as it was no longer constantly running away from the authorities or so busy with thinking up new mischievously evil ways to cause suffering, even if it still tends to catch up with local prisons. Even though Vineg doesn't actively go around making people suffer anymore, it often won't pass an easy chance to do that.
Two months after the last murder it had committed, Vineg faced a competent Paladin who, no matter what Vineg tried, knocked it out with a single blow and imprisoned it yet again. However, this was different from the other times; Vineg's imprisonment wasn't directly connected to a single crime it might have done nor had it been arrested by an anonymous group of authoritatives, but by a single person – a single loathable persona whom Vineg swore to humiliate accordingly. It could really have cared less for its only travel companion, the Hydran girl, but even though she is annoying, Vineg has suffered much worse and is sometimes even amused by her irritability before trying to slap her face around. What was definitely most interesting was the cursed Paladin's best friend who raised the most evil idea from Vineg's mind. Yet another mischievous plot to cause suffering, but this time as a revenge, to pay back to the damned Paladin. The puny Priest would be Vineg's slave forever and the Paladin would lose his best friend and couldn't hurt Vineg anymore in the fear of hurting his precious Priest. With that thought in mind, Vineg thought that whatever it would end up doing to him, it would hurt the Paladin – and that was the most it needed.

You had not killed anyone for almost two months, yet it did not matter to him. You vowed to stay out of trouble, yet he gave no heed to your empty promises, you swore to send him and his loved ones to hell. And then he defeated you with a single blow, how much can you hate him? more than your parents? more than Non'rid? You had done away with the demons of your past, you had buried the memories of the eolans and Non'rid, no one would humiliate you again, no one would be over you anymore, no one's slave, no one's servant. Or so you thought, and then this Paladin, this monster of a man. You woke up the next morning and it didn't take you long to figure out what had happened, you had been imprisoned for crimes against the Empire, you were being taken in a prisoner caravan heading to "The Anthill" apparently just to "soften you up" as the girl from the cell next to you put it, from there they were likely to send you to The White Wall.
Your only companions during the journey were the girl in the cell next to you, Kei'rin and a Priest named Ortho who took care of the other prisoners and you during the journey, the best friend of the Paladin in command of the Caravan, that bastard who captured you. During the journey, however, a devilish thought emerged from the back of your head. The gentle priest who so diligently cared for that pile of human refuse in the Caravan, those prisoners which society had left out, what could it be this thought if not Non'rid teasing you once more, proving to you that he had not died, that he still lingered in your twisted head. You would corrupt this little priest, make him yours, you chuckled madly entire nights at the thought of this, you would make the priest yours, an admirable feat, an unlikely slave for you as you had been for Non'rid, and you would have your revenge on Camus, taking away his best friend.
The Caravan stopped and you left the wagon, the sunlight made you squint as the line of trees around the small village became more visible. "We will rest here tonight!" you hear the paladin's voice tell his men. "Round them up!" as they shackled you and dragged you to the barn that was to serve as your prison for tonight, you stared in desire for a few seconds at the priest and at the chest which contained all your possessions, always a torture just out of the reach of your cell.

Weapon of ChoiceCocktail, a unique pistol. The gun is almost completely black in color and has a loading chamber that holds six bullets in total. The handle has a few weird decorations and the word "Vineg" written on the left side of the handle and "Cocktail" on the right.

Other – Vineg is quite used to dark places but while it doesn't see that well in dark, it does see slightly better than a normal person would. It also dislikes being in sunlight, though the light doesn't do it more harm than to any other Planetarii, even if it gets normal sunburn a bit more easily.

Element – Black (Death)
