Willowharp looked out over the wasteland that made up the Murky Marshes. Through the bars of her cage she caught glimpses of pools of putrid green mush that she guessed was water. Sagging moss ridden trees stuck out of the quagmire at odd angles eerily reminding her of corpses on a battle field. The gray brown of the bark was marred by the brackish black of the dirt that clung to it and odd buzzing insects moved in teeming masses of clicking mandibles and oddly jointed legs. The sunlight was hazy through the pale mist that hung in the air, filling the air with the moist pungent smell of dirt and slime. The air was thick like breathing water and Willowharp’s lungs were pained from the slightly acrid scent of sulfur. The small path which her captors followed weaved like a spider’s web deeper and deeper into the murky marshland. The black mud sucked at the wheels of the carts and squelched wetly under feet. Gazing out farther she could barely see the road disappearing behind them, enclosed by the swirling mists and deep shadows like a maw closing on prey. Home was that way, she knew, but way was lost to her in the winding paths that took her farther and farther. Deeper, towards the Tower Korrok.

2006-04-25 Lady of Lore: This is a description scene from my novel taken from where the protagonist has been cpatured and is being taken to the Tower Korrok. I entered this in a competition, it will be good to have a copy on here incase my back up files go bad. Technology tends to not like me, lol. ^_^
