Forever since I had seen my home, my country, my world. I close my eyes, trying to picture it the way I left it in attempts to ease the pain, but even those memories are hazy and unclear. Upon opening my eyes, they are now drowning in tears, for it was all gone. My life, my very existence to all who had once known me, was washed away. Once ‘they’ had taken me, I no longer existed. Taken to a place where time does not exist and people don’t die of old age, where the impossible is possible. A land of darkness without light, without hope, without love. I am supposed to bring that hope. I am supposed to teach that love. I am supposed to be that light.’
