Darkness inches into every corner.
I’m surrounded
No where to turn
No place to run
Perhaps I will surrender
There is no hope.

It is close
So close
It’s hungry
It wants me
It needs me.

It engulfs me
Covers my body
Damns me
Harden my heart
Steals my soul.

I am part of it
Pain
Hate
Forever
Hopeless.

I see a light
But I am too blind to truly see
The light offers hope
A second chance
For life.

I laugh
The darkness seeps deeper
I spit
The darkness contaminates
I hurt.

The hope surrounds me
But cannot penetrate the darkness
The darkness angers
I grab the hope
Through it away.

My mind screams for it
My hear aches for it
But he darkness hate it
Darkness
Forever.

Blood
Everywhere I see
The hope bleeds
It has returned for me
It won’t leave

I discredit it
Hurt
Curse it
But still
It remains.

The hope surrounds me
The darkness fights back
The blood reaches my heart
I, not the darkness
Accepts.

My soul returns
The darkness still fights
But the blood
Washes away pain
Renews hope.

I have the strength
To fight
The blood continues to flow
Washes clean
Brings life.

Though there is
Darkness
Pain
Hate
Suffering
Death
There will always be
light
comfort
love
life
hope.

Through the blood
Of hope
There will always
Be hope
For the hopeless.
