Each person has their own definition
Of what friends truly are
Well this is what I consider a friend
Though it sounds wierd or bizar.

Now please don't laugh
At what I'm about to say
These qualities are important to me
In every single way.

A friend should be funny
And fun to be with
They should stand up for me
And not believe every myth.

A friend should have a sense of humour
And not just see a pretty face
They should like me for me
And not judge me by my taste.

A friend should love me
No, not in that kind of way
They should love me like family
And look out for me each day.

Sure we can have a bad day
Or two or three or four
But that shouldn't make them hate me
Or spread rumours because they're sore.

They should habe a shoulder fo rme to cry on
Whenever I'm upset or alone
And a place for me to stay
When I don't want to go home.

These things may seem like a lot
And unreasonable for some to meet
But friends with these qualities
They just can't be beat.
