Sometimes people hurt you
Sometimes very much
They hurt you with words
With looks or with touch

The words hurt greatest
They penetrate your soul
Then hatred and bitterness
Soon take control

You hate the world
Your heart turns to stone
You push everyone away
And soon you're alone

You feel so empty
Liek there's nothing inside
You just want to leave
To run and hide

But in a forgotten place
There's a friend from long ago
Jesus filled my heart with love
And revieled the truth He knows

He taught me forgiveness
How to love with my heart
He revelied a new person
Both caring and smart

I learned to forgive
Is not to forget
But I learned to reconcile
While my saviour I remet.
