She slammed the piano lid down with a sudden manic hate that spoke of the bipolar disorder that endured, no matter what careful balance of meds her various doctors had prescribed.
The bleakness of her condition only served to incense her to further fury, and swiftly standing and dancing about the room, she swept things off her messy table with a frenzied hand. Face flushed with sudden hectic joy, she laughed a shrill cackle that slowly turned into a softly dying cry and sunk low in despair. With her forehead resting against the table edge, she thought This has to end. This swirling, mad turn of life she lived was destroying her. One second everything was so up she was flying, and the next was blackest death. A tear slipped down her still redly rosy cheeks, its salt taste one of the few still moments she ever had. This couldn’t go on.
