A Friendship Lost
A tear rolls down her cheek
As memories fly through her mind
Thinking of all the good times
When they were together.
Laughing till they'd cry
Then staring up at the sky
To lose themselves in the depth
Of the starry night.
Secrets, fighting their way
to whisper in another's ear.
Gossip, threatening to
Rip them all apart.
Oh, those days
Were full of wonder
As she remembered
As now they were leaving
Never to see each other again
Though they were the best
Of friends.
