Tessa woke up at 6:00am, waking Leala too. Tessa brushed her hair and gave a brush to Leala. Leala got the brush stuck in her hair.
Tessa rolled her eyes and went to get clothes for Leala. She took one of her too-small tank-tops and a pair of smallish jeans.
"Hey, get dressed," Tessa said, handing them to the girl. Leala got dressed on her own, thankfully, and the two girls headed down to breakfast.
Tessa's parents waeren't there. Leala ate s toast. Tessa packed a lunch and her homework into her book bag. She grabbed the toaster
"Can't forget this," she said, putting the toaster and a, partially eaten, loaf of bread into a bag. She looked Leala over. "You need a pre-school make-over," she said quickly. She lead Leala up to her room, and started brushing the girl's long hair. Then, Tessa took a pair of sharp scissors and started snipping, trimming, brushing, and applying lipgloss.
The final product was a pretty, sportier, Leala, complete with a cute bob hair cut and shiny lips. Tessa and Leala then walked to school, and ran a few laps before heading up to class.
Justin Mithe was already working quietly at his desk.
"You're early. No thirty laps today?" he said softly.
"Nah," Tessa said. "Just making Leala look less... Like Mia," Justin looked up at Leala.
"She looks almost identical to you now. Anyways, Mia is away sick today."
"She's really missing a day of school!?" Tessa asked, just a little surprised. Mia never missed school!
"Not exactly. She came in earlier and got all her homework foir the next three days," Justin responded.
"Oh, well that's a bit more like Mia," Tessa said, sighing. "Anyways, D'you know where Mike went to?"
"He's off making out with someone..." Justin said. Tessa shrugged, knowing how Mike always seemed to be doing that with someone. "Leala? Where you go?" she asked, realizing the girl had disappeared.
Leala came back into the classroom with a peice of toast. She hiccupped, and then the teacher walked into the room and the bell rang. Class went slowly, and Leala spent most of her time examining her pencil. Then they went to gym. Tessa fended off Toby twice, until he agreed to leave Leala alone and go flirt with a muskrat or someone. At least they are somewhat capable of understanding English.
Finally, 3:14. Everyone held their breath until the bell rang at 3:15. Leala followe Tessa to their locker. A GREAT-looking young man ran down the hallway, turned to wave at a friend, and accidentally ran into Leala.
"Hey there!" he said. "You look new around here. I'm Alan," he smiled. "Welcome to our school!" then he ran off.
"He's so dreamy... but he likes guys," Tessa said. Leala looked scared/happy/g
"You are kind of bad company," Tessa said. "I see what Mia meant. Maybe you'd get along better with..."
