((A/N: I wrote this for English 10 and I am happy with it. Not as happy as I was when I wrote the original one. Yeah there was an original one that I wrote awhile ago. I wrote it...then lost it the next day. It sucked. But I like this one too.))

Long ago, even before the beginning of time, there were gods and goddesses that ruled over the universe. They would have gallant fights between each other for entertainment, but much to their dismay these trivial fights soon turned to battles that could destroy everything. None realized, nor cared about this. The fights turned to battles, and the battles to wars. Soon the gods and goddesses were at war with each other with nothing to stop them.

Only two were able to see the wrongs in the wars; Asha and Hajari, the goddess of life and the god of light. They were amazed at the stubbornness of the others but they were determined to stop the fighting. Together they formed the planets and the sun, in hopes that the others would see how beautiful it was and would stop. This did not stop them for the gods and goddesses held grudges against one another that could not be resolved anywhere else but on the battle field. They saw no value in the sun or moon, nor did they see any beauty in the planets and stars.

Once again Asha and Hajari tried to stop the fighting but were unsuccessful. They then took refuge on the 3rd planet and were amazed at the beauty of it. How could the others not see it? They sat there and watched as the very first sunrise began to bathe the planet in light. When the planet was created a group of trees, bare and spaced, had appeared and as the sun shone through them their shadows stretched along the earth and from the light that shone through the trees began to emerge children.

Amazed at the sight before them they smiled and realized what they had done. They had created the children of the light, the children of the sun, the Ciro. The children had bright eyes that shone with the brilliance of the sun and their skin a golden brown. They approached the small children and began to speak to them to find out that they could respond. Asha and Hajari decided to see if the other gods and goddesses would listen to reason once they saw the innocence etched into the eyes of the Ciro.

The children were able to stop the wars and make the gods and goddesses see the beauty in the new world and the lives that could be made. And even to this day the trees still remain untouched, and every year on the exact same day 365 children appear from the light from the sun. The Children of the Sun, the first race of Earth, and the closest beings to the gods and goddesses, the Ciro were indeed a beautiful race.
