((A/N: This is something I wrote just a few days ago because I was sad that I hadn't written anything lately. I personally think this is crap just because the idea isn't organized...and so...incomplete...but that's basically the only reason.))

The steady sounds of a heart monitor echoed through the silent, white hospital room. A single boy's silhouette can be seen sitting in the corner of the room beside the bed. No other movement can be detected except for the gentle swaying of the trees outside in the cool night air.

The boy's eyes suddenly snap open as a long beep sounds through out the room, the sound of a heart stopping. His heart begins to race as he rushes to the side of the bed and cries out for the nurse and doctor. Within the minute nurses and doctors are crowed into the moderate sized room trying to help the now motionless figure in the bed. A nurse walks up to the boy placing her hand on his shoulder as he stares in shock at the scene before him. She whispers something into his ear as he nods slowly and follows her out of the room and into the deserted hallway.

From the hallway he can hear the calls and commotion from inside the room as his panic begins to escalade. Soon a doctor comes out of the room looking solemn as he approaches the boy cautiously to give him the news. "I'm sorry…" he whispered loud enough for the boy to hear, "…we did everything we could." he dropped the bomb as the boys world crumbled and his golden eyes glossed over in coldness.

"You didn't do everything…she would be alive if you did." the boy growled dangerously as power surged from him. Things began to crash down to the cold floor. Two nurses rushed up to the boy as they tried to calm him down. Once they managed to calm him down he glared at the doctor and stormed into the silent room.

Making his way to the side of the bed he let his warm fingers brush against the cold, dead fingers of his best friend and beloved companion. "I'm sorry…so sorry. I couldn't help you." his voice trailed off as he picked up the limp hand and let tears fall from his normally cold eyes. "I'm…so sorry."
