This is in the style of a series of letters written by a man to his deepest love. There are four of them and the beginning of a new one is signified by 1) being more spaced and 2) the repition of the phrase "My Dearest Diane".

My Dearest Diane,
I missed you last night,
I waited for your glorious presence
But you never came.

I realized,
Staring at the starry sky,
Just how much I need you.

Alone,
I am not what I could be,
You make me limitless,
Like I've never been before.

But last night you did not join me,
So I spent my time,
Feeling like an empty shell,
So I shall await the time,
When you finally arrive.

My Dearest Diane,
You are halfway here
Bringing anticipation
Of your final arrival.

I can hardly wait until your arrival
And to feel the joy
That only you can bring me.

I am already planning on what we can do
On our night together
When a new life is brought to me
By my love for you.

But I must wait patiently
Though I truly doubt I can
For I know that you will be here soon
For me to stand by your side.

My Dearest Diane,
Last night was bliss
A time of perfection
That I will not soon forget.

The love we shared was pure
Like nothing I have felt before
Something I thought could last forever
But sadly ended too soon.

I will see you again
When the sun has died
To leave us alone again
For our evening of magic.

My Dearest Diane,
You're leaving again
And I cannot stop you
So go

But I will wait for you
No matter how often you cycle
For I know that you will
Like always
Come back

But now I must watch
As your trail slowly fades
To leave me along with the stars.
