A cold chill grasped her neck. A small gasp was all she could let out before she turned and threw up. She coughed and choked, seeing her vomit dark red in the misty moonlight. Crawling toward the light of the lighthouse, she tried to escape the horrid stench in the air and the howling calls getting closer and closer.
She weakly pulled herself up the steps to the door. Claws scraped against the asphalt. Wimpering, she reached for the frozen door handle. A howl made her body coil in fear. Her hand slipped and her body hit the cement.
“No…” she whispered.
