[Spirit]: 726.Animungus Lupus: Chapter Three

 The bear had crept up on us while we were playing. That irritated me, I should have smelled him before he got to close. I leaped into the air and landed on the bear I dug my teeth into its neck and scratched with all my might with my claws. All the while dodging the bear’s arms. One of its paws caught me and flung me into the air I hit a rock hard and went unconscious. I came out of my consous state and saw Craig attacking the bear. I smiled a toothy grin and tried to get up. I finally was able to get up and wobble over the bear. I jumped up and got it on the snout I dug my teeth into his snout and refused to let go. At first he didn’t notice because he was trying to get Craig off of his back. But as I bit down harder and harder he finally started swinging at me. Craig grabbed one of its arms with his teeth and dug in. I used my hind claws and front claws to scratch the bears belly up. He finally got me off and flung me in the air again. I hit the same rock and saw Craig leap off and run towards me. The bear ran off obviously he had had enough. My world went black.   I awoke with a bad headache and all my muscles hurt. I tried to change to my human form but found it difficult because of all the pain. So I lay there and wondered how long it would be before I could move again. I saw Craig watching me and I felt bad that he saw me in this weakened state so I forced myself up and wobbled over to him. I lay my head in his lap and fell asleep while he petted me and comforted me. I awoke again to find Craig had changed into his wolf form sometime in the night and his head was on mine. I felt secure and comforted and fell asleep again.  I didn’t awaken till dawn and found that we were being watched by a group of kids. I nuzzled Craig’s neck and licked his muzzle trying to get him to awaken so he could see the kids. When Craig did awaken I noticed he was about to change but I turned his head to the kids and he stopped. We got up and ran off. I didn’t know where we were going but I didn’t want to stay as a wolf. I wanted to change into my human form. W ran until we came to a cave. As I started to change I stopped I had left my clothes at the other site. That would mean that I couldn’t change fully. I cursed as I began to change making sure my feminine parts were covered. Craig looked at me strangely as I emerged with patches of fur in certain places. “Why are you keeping that fur on? Why not put your clothes on?” “ Because I accidentally left my clothes at the other site but I don’t mind walking around like this.” “ But what about people? We now know there are people in the woods. You can’t walk around looking like that.” “ I will be in wolf form when I go out of this cave.” I went over to a rock in the cave and sat down. I wondered what his reaction would be if I showed him my favorite spot. We were maybe a day away from the pack so surly they won’t come and look for me and that will give me more time with Craig. I can get to know him better. I asked him if he would like to go for a run tonight. I wanted to show him my spot. “Sure why not. I would love to go for a run with you.” He said. “Great, then we better get some sleep.” As we started to curl up I had forgotten to change to wolf form so as I started to curl up next to Craig a pair of kids waltzed into the cave. I looked at Craig then change into a half form that shocked us both. My claws unfurled into long thin claw nails, my ears grew longer, my fur grew shorter, my hind legs grew muscular, my feet grew to massive wolf paws but still had a human’s foot form. My fur grew white and beautiful, my wolfs mane grew out and looked like flowing white hair, and my whole body grew muscles. I call this form my Anubis form, because Craig said I looked like Anubis. I looked at him and in a very deep husky voice said, “We need to kill them.” “I know.” Craig turned to his wolf form and while he was still changing I leapt at the one closest to me and slashed his stomach and bit his neck. When blood filled my mouth I went crazy, I tore him apart and was still doing that when Craig turned back and tried to pull me off. After a few minutes he finally got me off and licked my muzzle clean. When I got my senses back I grew ashamed because of how I acted at the taste of blood. I formed into my full wolf form and went over to a corner. Craig dug a deep hole and buried what was left of the bodies and then came over to me and told me it was going to be ok. I looked at him with sorrow in my eyes and curled up next to him. I was glad I wasn’t alone. We fell asleep like that, with me under him and he on top of me protecting me. We were two wolves asleep and we could not be parted.
