     If I were a feather boa, I would be the darling of the most beautiful women and the most womanly of men. Sequins of blue, feathers of pink would be my garb, and as the cameras flashed and sizzled, I would snatch the attention of the world and hand it on a platter of beauty to my fortunate host. Not a sight of respect would be mine, of course, but it is not the nature of a feather boa to seek fame for itself. We are instigators, money makers, supremely glitzy trend creators, we are the master crafters of fashion disasters, the 'you' in an alphabet of 'I's.
     We never last all that long, and I will be no different. I represent the facet of your personality that will fade as maturity steps in, or when fame steps out. Only the movers, the shakers, and the up and comers have shoulders worthy of my frivolous touch. I'll end up stuffed in the back of a closet, but my friend, the ride will be worth it.
