A somber monument to a deceased medium, standing at the edge of town. It is one of the largest and most decorated tombs in all of Wu Yuan, with an indoor monument standing to one side of the outdoor grave. The tombstone simply reads "Kaies Metsaf: Medium, innkeeper, and public servant".

Wu Yuan I

Mara-kuru kneels quietly before the verdant patch of earth before the lone tombstone in this area, her long ears drooping as far as they will naturally go.

After a long, long while, a serinian who looks very much like Mara walks up quietly behind the visitor. She stops. "You okay, Mara?" Felina inquires softly and gently from a few feet away.

Mara-kuru turns her head, her expression... pitiful, for lack of a better word. Her eyes do brighten at the sight of Felina, though, her ears lifting about halfway. "Felina...! I am fine, I am." She smiles, wipes her eyes. "I was just... reminiscing." She gets to her feet and faces her double, smiling, and looking quite a bit better already.

Felina smiles, and nods. She looks a little better than she had a few minutes ago, too. A little. "Need a hug?"

Mara giggles softly. "No. But I really, really want one." She giggles again, very softly, and abruptly pounces for Felina.

"Eep!" As per usual, Felina doesn't particularly fight this, and tumbles quite soundly to the ground.

Mara pins her soundly, and cuddles the younger Serinian for several seconds before sitting up. "Hee hee... hello, my love. What catastrophe brings you to my plane?"

Felina grins a little for a moment--really, something only half a handful of people can get her to do--and climbs to her feet, brushing off the purple grass. "Hi. Trying to resurrect a girl this time, but if there's any interdimensional death doom and destruction pending, I don't know about it. And...also looking for a quiet place to sleep." She smiles, sheepishly and tiredly.

Mara smiles, closing her eyes as she does. For all that it appears in literature and media, Mara-kuru is one of very few people who actually does this.

"My home is always open to you, my love. And you still have a room at miss Amilei's inn. Give me a moment?" The elder Serinian turns, kneels again before the tombstone. "I will be back tomorrow, Kaies. I miss you, mister muscles." Her clawed fingers gently press to her lips, cutting the bottom one as she kisses them, and she sets those fingers to the ground beneath which the burial litter sits. "Watch over me."

Felina closes her eyes and smiles, waiting patiently with her arms folded. Mara is so much like her it's scary. She just can't go through the same routine...since it seems wrong to approach Kaies the same way as she does her father's grave. Because...well, yeah. Creator, lover...they don't mesh. She does bow a little in that direction, though, a friendly sort of bow. I'll be back to talk longer later, Kaies. I promise.

Mara rises again, turning her now-bleeding smile on Felina. "Okay! Now. Where would you like to sleep, my love? Amilei gave me a set of keys for the atrium room and the other floors, just in case she was out or something, like she is now." She awaits Felina's response in typical Mara-kuru fashion, head tilting from side to side, though now her his are swaying a bit too. It almost looks like she's dancing.

"Well, if it's no imposition, I wouldn't mind your house. It's been a hell of a week--nothing unusual, I know--and I feel safer with you around than not." That's true.

"Oh, I was hoping you might say that. I have bad decision food just for such an occasion!" Mara grins her impish grin. "Wanna race? Beatcha!" And Mara simply vanishes, reappearing at Mara-Kuru's Estate.
