Abilities: Mi'ehna is a 'daiko-ma-rei'. In her homeland, an old vampire tradition from before their extinction there trained seers called 'Daiko-ma' who could apply their strengths to the minds of others in return for being able to see through their eyes. They were often used as spies. These Daiko-ma were trained in a martial art called Saikhi (similar to Tai-Chi in nature, an art fully for concentration's sake). When a Daiko-ma reaches the next stage of consciousness, according to legend, she (always a she, historically) becomes a Daiko-ma-rei. Now, a Daiko-ma-rei's mind acts as a conduit, absorbing latent energies from all those in her vicinity and matching their power levels. In Mi'ehna's case, she was taken from her behind-the-scenes role and trained in the arts of war by people whose bodies and minds had been greatly enhanced by sorcery, and as a result, is has developed a high natural level of power. In addition, her martial art style was altered for use in war after her evolution, and as such, she is a tremendously skilled fighter in bare-hand, sword/shieldplay, and spear combat.

Note: As an NPC, Mi'ehna is quite capable of godmoding should the need arise. Her author tends to downplay her potential when she serves as a PC, however.

Weaknesses: She has a low pain tolerance, and mental attacks have a chance of breaking into her mind with more force than most. Loses control of her emotions on a regular basis, which sometimes gets her into trouble in a fight. Occasionally her power, which is really too much for her human body, 'fries' her brain, leaving her temporarily unable to do much more than breathe. In addition, Mi'ehna is perfectly loyal to her husband Sky, and would not hesitate to put herself in the line of fire to prevent him even a slight injury.

History: Mi'ehna is a person whose life has been absolutely fraught with tragedy and isolation. Her natural life ended at the age of nineteen, when she gave it up in order to quell a fearsome threat to the safety of her surrogate family, but due to a complex situation concerning a demigod named Areskan she was returned to the mortal coil. Soon after that Mi was imprisoned within the time slip fortress called Dothaven, where she lived for just over 2,400 years. In Dothaven, none of the prisoners age, and so she waited, and waited, and waited without hope of rescue or escape.

Eventually, inspired by a group of newcomers, Mi'ehna helped them to challenge the power ruling over Dothaven and, with their help, was at last able to free herself and the other prisoners from within. During the struggle to do so Mi'ehna lost her heart to a man named Skye Sands, with whom she lived briefly after their escape. A few adventures later the two were married, and soon after moved to Hasu Vale where they now own and operate the Redwood Light tavern.

Personality: Mi'ehna is a kind, affectionate woman who is prone to mood swings given the proper stimulus. She adores children and loves to sing, and is utterly devoted to her husband Skye. Her sense of justice is rather black and white despite efforts on her part to change, and once she has decided that a person is her enemy there is little that can be done to change her mind. She can be flirtatious and chatty at times. In addition, a rather obvious sense of naivete is about her, and despite her age she is somewhat inexperienced in the ways of the world at large.
