The Silence of the Lambs
Thomas Harris is best known for his famous character Hannibal Lecter, a psychopathic killer cannibal. His psychological thrillers are well known for their plot twists and lingering gory scenes. In The Silence of the Lambs, Harris doesn’t ruin this formula.
In the beginning we follow around a young FBI agent in training, Claire Starling, as she goes on the case about the infamous Buffalo Bill killer. With loss of what to do, she seeks out the notorious Doctor Lecter, a psychologist who is more interested in Claire’s mental state then the killer. As the body count rises Clair must believe in the simple clues Hannibal has given her to track down the killer.
This book is designed for those who need a good thrill from a murder mystery. With any murder mystery, this is for adults or more mature readers by several themes. With dark themes and some deep emotional soul searching within the pages, I highly recommend this book.
