A simple room at the Silver Rose Inn, the hallway outside the door leads back to the main room. There is one somewhat large window, fringed by curtains, across from the door, and it looks out to the front of the inn, the road leading away, and the forest. The room is furnished with a four-poster bed, a desk with a quill pen and an inkwell sitting atop it. In one of the drawers are a few scraps of parchment. Near the desk is a wardrobe, with some empty hangers hanging within it, and a couple of shelves off to one side. Near the bed is another, smaller desk with a mirror above it. The floor is wood, but there is a handwoven rug to the side of the bed. On the walls are some paintings of the mountains.

Ander enters the room and puts his saddlebags on the bed. He'll unpack later, for now, he needs to check on his friend and ride. He heads back outside to chat with the big brown horse.

Returning from the main room angrily, Ander nearly slams his door. Due to his frustration, he doesn't hear Yue following him a short time later. He unpacks his belongings, perhaps a bit more violently than he might normally, muttering about idiots thinking that animals aren't intelligent, and the gall of people poking fun at him for talking to them. This is obviously a sore spot for him.

He finally sits down on the bed, staring silently out the window. After a little while of staring, Ander rises and returns to the main room

Returning, the Speaker searches around in his saddlebags, finally finding a scrap of wood. Satisfied with this scrap, he sets it on the dresser, then falls into bed and is asleep the moment his head touches the pillow.
