Summary

Emily and Tom (Emily's best friend's older brother) have been sucked from their homes and into another world. A world with elves. Mirla is one of them. She knows that Emily and Tom are new dimension travellers. Unfortunately this means that they are here to replace her Grandmother, Molvena, who would then be going to die soon.

To add to the problem, Molvena is also the Queen of Oleth! To make matters even worse, the former friend and advisor, Raven Arna, for the King and Queen has joined the Elee'ksh, the dark elves. He wants to rule Oleth and take their daughter Nia as his bride (Nia is Mirla's lovely aunt). In return for their help, he's going to give the dark elves the power of dimension travelling, and they're going to take over the four planes!

It's up to Emily an Tom to help stop them. They must collect the Life Crystals and then gather the other dimension travellers to battle this powerful foe. But just getting the Life Crystals will have its challenges.

They go to the Priestesses, guardians of Oleth's Life Crystal, and are given the challenge of asking for a token of the Gods' permission to take the crystal. Well, seems easy enough doesn't it? Not so; Gabroy is a home only to the gods, and no dimension traveller has ever been there. Hmmm.

As they are discussing this wonderful little problem, someone else come to crash the party. Oh no! It's Raven Arna, and now he seems to have goblins on his side as well! But what is this? Nia! Has she been captured? No. Is she a bad guy? Yes. Does she captures the good guys, including all the other dimension travellers!?! Yes. Uh oh. You said it.

Now another little twist has been added to this outrageous plot. Leshjok; it's not a funny new character, it's an ability and a curse. Nia has it, and it enables her to do all sorts of nifty things like moving objects with her himd, summon spirits, shapeshifting, and playing games with other people's minds. Which is how she is going to control the dimension travellers.

Note: On dimension travelling. Read chapter four for details on history. Basically there are four worlds/planes/dimensions and a maximum of six dimension travellers. One is male and one is female.

Things are looking bad, people are sleeping (in cages) on the job, and there are questions to be answered, such as:

O.o Who are the other dimension travellers? What's the shiny object that's in one of their hands? And What are they going to do about all this!?!

Everyone seems to think of Mirla as a simple woodelf, but she's also the grandaughter of the King and Queen. Why is this? Where are her parents in all this? And, speaking of parents, what's going on at home while all this is happening???

In this story, we know that the Queen is the female traveller for this planet. But who is the male? Is it the King? Is it a friend? If so, who is this friend and what part do they play in this tale? Is it Raven Arna? But if this is true, then he'd be the same age as the Queen (a grandmother!) and he wants to marry their daughter? Yeek! And the daughter wants to marry him? Ewww...

We know that Granny is going to die at some point. But why do the old travellers have to die when the new ones come? When do they die? Is there a special cerimony or reason?

So, why were our protagonists chosen to be travellers? Were they chosen at all? Any rules to the system? Why did they have go to a different plane to learn about being a traveller? Wouldn't the traveller have been chosen from the same world? Why not? What's going on?

And last but not least: WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?
