A marsh of endless proportions, and also where the great devourer Nidhogg makes its home. This is nothing but an abominable wasteland for the undead, allowed by the gods only so that these monsters will have a place to go outside of the fair lands.

Radivishe Moorn's face and clothes are stained with zombie filth, a fact that annoys him into launching another wave of concussion blasts in no particular direction.

When Felina appears, she stands above the blast until it's passed, and then drops to the ground. "I take it you know, then...Dewei has gone to the underworld to find Ai as we speak." Her voice isn't harsh, though she knows to avoid patronizing him. He'd just lost his daughter, for gods' sake.

"Know what?" Moorn growls, throws off another blast that levels a stand of decrepit trees. "That some idiot altered my teleportation to send me here, and sealed the place from inside? Yes. A dead idiot, in a few minutes."

Oh, shit. "I think that was the local trickster god, if it's any consolation at all." She'd said "to the underworld to find Ai." Waits for it to sink in, as she knows it will. And maybe to get the hell out of the way.

"I will be consoled when his head is on backwards. Now, what is this about Ai in an underworld?" He looks at her, his expression harsh, but clear in its intent. "Tell me she went to this kind of place for some reason other than being killed," it seems to say.

Felina pauses, for just a moment. She never could have understood this back in the day, fully...but rebirth cycle or not, she knows how she would have felt to have heard this about Dewei. "She was killed. I'm not sure what circumstances led up to it. She'll be reborn before long, of course...I assume Dewei is trying to hurry the process."

The change in his expression is not the sudden shock or slow burn one might expect. Rather, the change is more psychic than physical, a heartbeat-like throbbing that quickly translates into a twitch of the sorcerer's lip.

"Killed," he repeats. Of course he knows about the rebirth cycle, he'd murdered Yue based on that. But Ai... well. "Who? Tell me you know who did this to my daughter?"

She shakes her head slowly. "I don't know anything that transpired beforehand. I just sensed an upset from home and appeared to settling dust." She's rather glad that she doesn't know, too, for their sakes.

"... and Mara...?" the question sees his voice crack, for the first time in... ever, as far as he knows.

"Dewei sent her back home in a big hurry with an empty wicker man, for reasons I don't know yet. She's safe." He heart...completely goes out to him. She wants to hug him in the worst way...but simply isn't sure that that wouldn't make things worse. It may.

If he knows how he ought to carry himself, he has forgotten. "Felina. Leave this place immediately." His gaze is so serious that the venom practically drips from his chin. "Leave me a way out of here. This realm will not be here long."

"We don't know how its planes are linked," Felina points out. "Any one of them being damaged could start a chain reaction and destroy its underworld, along with Ai's currently sure chance of ever coming back."

"Goddamned rationale." Moorn turns away from her, gazing out over the burnt remnants stretched out in front of him. Much of Umliad is still burning. "Ah well. I suppose enough is enough." His eyes close. "I need to see Mara. I am an idiot for this, but I trust Dewei to save my daughter."

Felina's eyes soften. She nods. "Here...I'll see if I can get you a passage back to Deru, that's where she is now." She feels gingerly for an opening. Even with it sealed, she's hoping to be able to exploit being a Guardian to a universe with a still-fading link to this one.

There is a link, not too difficult to see. Radivishe Moorn winds up, and throws one last concussive bolt into the sky to cap off his venting.

Coincidentally, the Valkyrie barracks in Dame Astra are soon to be commissioned for replacement.

Felina remains alert, having seen a little bit of everything that can go wrong with an opening portal by this point in her life, and when it hits a certain energy change, she simply opens it. "Here we go." It folds open beside him.

"Thank you," he says before he can think not to. Huh. He must mean it. "What will you do?"

"Probably stay here and keep my ears open for a really large threat to our kids, but keep my hands out of it otherwise for fear of damaging something. Or them."

Moorn nods slowly. "Fine. Call for me, though, if you require my services. For our childrens' sake." And he steps through the gate, leaving only trace elements of his hatred for those who'd harmed Ai in the air.

Felina sighs quietly, feeling...incredibly sorry for Moorn, all told. Raises her hands, and quietly begins weaving "as you were" spells upon Umliad to restore its walls and hopefully recall anything that leaked out. Hopefully, it may or may not work with the shift of an underworld.
