The inner yard of the Silver Rose Inn, there is a space or hard-packed earth, with some tables and chairs spaced about. Nearby, there is another space of hard-packed earth used for sparring or teaching. This yard is surrpounded on two sides by the inn, on one side by forest, and on the fourth side by the vegetable garden. There is a trail leading through the forest towards Pine Lake. One can return to the inside of the inn by passing through one of two doors. The one to the right (if one faces the building) leads into the kitchen, the other leads back into the main room.

Ander arrives from Pine Lake, leading Mun again, and he looks around the yard in appreciation. "I didn't even know this was back here..." He murmurs, looking back for the girl.

She's huffing and panting by the time she arrives, leaning on her knees for breath. "Uff... uff... sorry...! Short legs, you know. Ooh..." she looks around once she has some breath. "Prettiness."

Noticing the herb and vegetable garden, and thinking that Mun will like it, Ander walks towards it, "Hey, look!" He doesn't know much about plants, but bets that won't matter much to her. "Guess this's where th' majority o' th' food comes from."

"Sure. These are selfless creatures, in my experience." She kneels, patting the earth gently. "They give, and give, and give."

Ander smiles, sitting next to her. "'Ey do, don't they?" His green-brown eyes dance, as he wonders if this is what he's like talking about the animals he converses with. He gestures to a bushy rosemary plant, "Whu's this?"

"It's an herb. Rosemary." Qiao Mun looks at it, tilts her head. "Oops... she's had a bug problem." Pats it gently, dusting away a few brown bite marks as if they never were. "There."

Ander looks surprised, then jealous, then pleased, all in quick succession, "Tha's great! How'd ye do it?"

"Um..." Mun goes bright red. "I'm a nymph. It, uh, goes with the territory." She oughtn't to be showing off in front of a human, anyway.

Laughing softly, Ander reaches out to ruffle her hair, "I can't heal animals, so I don' think o' Speakin' and Healin' as goin' hand in hand." He looks around again, marvelling at the variety of plants here, and how well-tended they seem, even to his untrained eye.

She's wary at the touch. It's awfully close for having just met, but Ander seems alright, and is definitely harmless.

"They wouldn't," she nods, "the plants have less separation from the earth than do animals. It's the land that heals."

Noticing the look, Ander blushes a little bit and mutters, "Sorry..." He reaches into his pocket, looking for the scrap of wood, then remembers it's still inside, so he pulls his hand back out and looks like he doesn't really know what do do with either hand now. Still looking embarrassed, he says, "Sometimes I get t' treatin' folk like m' siblings. Got seven o' 'em..."

"It's okay," she assures him, "I'm just not used to it... hey. Want to go back in? Get something to drink?"

Ander brightens, his blush fading. "Sure!" He smiles, his green-brown eyes glittering happily. He walks to the door that leads back into the main room, and holds it open for Mun to pass first.

She curtsies a little bit, despite wearing shorts, snickering as she strides past him. For once, she doesn't trip on the threshold.
