A somewhat primordial ball of rock, this planet lacks much very advanced life; just basic flora and a few very simple creatures.
Felina stands still when their feet reach a grassy field of this planet, holding the staff with far too much comfortable ease and paying no mind to the gratuitous blood of two easily fatal injuries. Her eyes, still quiet and bearing a look not her own, are focussed somewhat upward, but on nothing, keeping careful attention to events in Moren Aiga, not fully confident in Rei-ono's inability to escape.
It's not a really pretty sight. The wizard's bonds are shattered just before the monsters reach him, and the first three beasts burst into dust and light before his power. A pincer swipes his arm, earning that trawler's demise as well, but in that moment of hesitation, the wizard is overwhelmed. The beasts swarm over him like a torrent of ghostly mist, and moments after the feeding frenzy ensues, the titanic power signature of Ahmin Rei-ono is gone.
Radivishe Moorn, who had also been watching, nods his head in approval. "A fitting end, I think."
The serinian nods a little. "Yes. A pity, really, but some will never change." Her injuries begin to knit.
"So tell me what you've done with Guardian Topaz." When Moorn says this, it is without a change of expression or pitch of voice. "She and I have business still."
"Her mind is in stasis. I will restore it once her body can survive of its own accord."
"Try and be quick about it," the sorcerer's voice drops a bit. "Dead wizards should stay that way, don't you agree?"
"That is a pot calling the kettle black, wouldn't you agree?" Felina's eyes sparkle with just the littlest hint of subdued humor. The wounds are nearly sealed outwardly now, the magic's focussing on brain damage.
"I might have that inclination. Only I am no wizard. Such a constraining term, and despite all of your power, I still have difficulty imagining you without a pointed hat."
"Goodness no. Wizards of the Eastern school are far too focussed on making shoes as uncomfortable as possible to bother with such silliness." He closes her eyes. "And the damage is repaired."
Moorn glances at Felina's face. "Then our ways should part. Your help was appreciated, I'm sure."
"For all that I have tried to force her to be older, there are some things that my daughter should not have to face alone just yet." Tel-tiono sits down with just the tiniest bit of unease with his daughter's much different physiology, sets the staff aside, and leans on a knee that the body is stable and upright. Eyes close.
The construct is deathly still for several seconds before stirring again. Specifically, stiffening at Moorn's energy signature before remembering they're allied, however temporarily. "Ugh..." she opens her eyes, groggy at best. They narrow a bit after a moment at the new surroundings. "I missed something."
"Yes, you missed my plan in fruition. The trawlers have done their work, and Ahmin Rei-ono is dead." The sorcerer glances at her, waving a hand in front of her face. "We barely escaped them, ourselves."
Her head flinches back just a little when the hand breaks unexpectedly into her line of vision...she's responsive. She runs a hand over the thickly-matted blood in her hair. "So I see." The trawlers hadn't touched her, though. She'd certainly know that without trouble. Her hand goes for the hilt of her sword to use it to help her stand up...she realizes with an inward groan that she doesn't have it. More fun with trawlers. But then, she's bothered them more than once in th last couple of years, trying to get research in.
She picks up the staff instead, using it to steady her after she gets to her feet. "I assume that you saved my ass, then." To top all ironies.
"In a sense. Moren Aiga is essentially gone, now that the shields are down. It will become a den of trawlers and... other interesting creatures." Radivishe Moorn steps in front of her, a few feet away, his features set. "Now that he is dead, I will take my payment. Show me where you sent Senowin, and I will collect her, and be on my way."
Felina narrows her eyes, just a little. "She's not mine to give. Anyway, you didn't know she existed when you first agreed to help."
The sorcerer's black lips twitch in a forming smile. He'd expected as much.
"Are you going to argue such a point with me? By now I would think that you know better."
"Yeah, well, I've already had a sound beating today. I may as well expound on that."
Moorn gives a long sigh. "I had hoped to get through this without threatening or otherwise harming you again. I do grow weary of the noises you make. I'm sure that I know where you've sent her, Felina. Your drag queen sibling is probably in a state of perfect shock at a beautiful woman falling out of the sky, as we speak."
"And repairing her body, I'm sure. Why is you agreed to help in the first place?"
"I heard that some idiot had gained a reputation as being the most powerful wizard in this plane, from Kaishen. I never cared for braggarts." Moorn's eyes narrow, at last he's beginning to lose patience. "This is not critical. You wouldn't show this Senowin the love she wants. You know that, you are quite comfortable in your idiotic bubble. Change is horror, is it not? And she would feel lost if her children pushed her away. I will take her and teach her to live her life in her own way."
His words sting a little, mostly because they're true. "Mara-kuru would. I doubt she'd be happy away from her 'children' anyway...and forgive me if I'm afraid of exactly what you'd 'teach' her."
"Maybe I would teach her to strip down and dance like a whore. Or to read and write. Or to kill things. To birth things. In any case, it is none of your concern. Suffice to say that she will be well-treated," the sorcerer's mouth closes, down to a thin line. "She is too well-made to sacrifice."
"And too much an individual for me to barter off for your services." She knows he's losing patience. She also knows she can't really stop him from much of anything at this point; she'd blown off more energy than he had. But what else can she do?
"Open your barrier and take me to her. If you do, we will stay on neutral terms. If you don't, and I have to find my way there, I will be certain that my taking of her leaves casualties."
Felina's fangs bare just a little. "I hate you on more levels than I knew there were levels. You know that, right?" She can't stop him from getting to Senowin. She can only hope that the construct can protect herself. However inexperienced.
..the raw power is there. A hole opens that shows an orchard beyond. She just waves to it, irked, noting to her brother ahead of time what's coming.
The sorcerer heads on in, stopping for a moment before entering the hole. "As it should be." He steps inside, headed to Saea's Gardens.
