It really isn't though. I'm working on a novel and the first 50 pages or so are just character development to draw you into the story emotionally. Then I kill almost all of the initial characters at the same time. It's just writing but MAN... It made me feel bad! Those ten or twenty pages when they all died took forever! becasue I felt so awful about killing these fictional characters I had created but who I'd also grown really fond of. Then once I finally got through the section I went through it like fifty more times writing revisions so it would be PERFECT... I owed them that much at least <sniff>. |

(Tsubasa wa ii ne! Toberu kara!)I especially get pangs when I'm revising the earlier sections, but my real problem is that I find myself wanting to use the character later but oops! They're dead! Actually though, the story I'm talking about is up now in its current incomplete form under my writings on my presentation under the title The Sankei Chronicles if you're at all interested in checking it out. I always appreciate the creative criticism. |
