I love my cat and all, but I don't want a picture on my page anymore. I clicked the delete button, and I thought it would work, but now when I go to my page, I still see my silly kitty smiling at me! Blast, the darned "delete" button has vanished!!!! Can I get assistance?

So all you did was click the "Upload a new (or delete current) photo" button? That alone won't delete it, you need to upload a non-existent picture after having clicked that ("write nothing and press "Upload image" to stop using current image").
But if you did exactly that, I don't know what went wrong...
