Contest Ideas

We could definately try some contests on the different poetry styles (ie haiku). This could be a fun way to get practice on them. We could rotate the different types of poems over the months and have a different theme each month as well.

For short fiction writers, we can do the fifty word story, where you have to write a story in fifty words or less.

For playwrights and screenwriters, we could do something like the five minute show. Using the theory that about 1 page = 1 minute, they have to write a five minute story.

Entry Fees/Prizes

I do support the idea of entry fees and prizes, but we will have to organize some way of easily collecting the fees.

We also have to keep in mind that we may be limiting things to people you have credit cards, unless we can set up a system where we wouldn't need them.

And do we want to have a way of collecting points for each contest you enter and/or win, eventually leading up to badges on your presentation?
