Calann, I didn't mean that I have anything wrong with social networking and making friends, my only point in making this comment was that I love WC and I'm so grateful that there's a place where it's still pretty true to the reason it was founded. I sincerely believe that ET has become a sort of mini-myspace. To me, WC is a place where I can come and talk with other writers and see what my contemporaries are writing. I think an obvious part of talking with other writers is becoming friends with them as well, I never said I don't think people should become friends. It's just that on ET, being friends (and maybe finding a girlfriend or boyfriend and maybe having some cybersex) has become much more important than art or fantasy.
