Felina sighs a little inwardly when she catches herself being cautious entering her own estate. Yeah. Ready for this to be over. Scans for trouble regardless.

Nothing in particular stands out. Little traces of signatures say that different people have been here, but the only current thing there is yet another near-perfect Yoru effigy, dangling by its neck from one of Felina's cherry trees.

Felina rolls her eyes. "Such cheap theatrics," she observes to whomever may be listening. "I wonder about what it says of the job market when someone wasn't able to use their melodrama degree any way but to take a temp job in some mockery of a Doomsday standoff." Means it, too. Seriously, the effigies are just ridiculous. Can they make a trap any more obvious? At least they could be subtle about it.

And she heads into the house, scanning a heavily cloaked area for bugs of any kind before heading into a heavily warded storage area. Really, she's made the body mostly for practice and research...it can't conduct quite her full useable power, but at least reasonably close, and it's virtually impossible to tell from her. It doesn't feel like a doppleganger. Bundles up the signature-less thing in an invisibility cloak, and then a quick size-changing spell makes it much easier to carry. Everything's sealed up tightly again, and she gives one more cursory check over the estate.

A roar of something shakes the foundation of the estate - suddenly, without a scrap of warning. Shadow descends over the house and gardens, and the roar of starship engines only grows louder.

Felina narrows her eyes. Now what in the hell...? Leilia, maybe? Either way, she heads outside.

The vessel hovers above the tree line, throwing leaves and grass all over with the wind from the thrusters. The ship itself teems with moving parts like thousands of tendrils sliding over one another in slick-dark colors, and is roughly the shape of a flat-headed fish.

A platform descends from the belly of the fish, floating down in the midst of a translucent golden beam until it touches the ground not far from Felina.

The serinian sits her arm over her eyes at the dust the thing is kicking up and heads in that direction. Also, she's pretty sure it's squishing her white magnolias.

On the platform, a uniformed man in what looks like fitted ballistic armor stands in obvious military impatience. A weapon of some sort, with the appearance of a fat three-barreled rifle, is slung across his back.

A human.

"Your presence is requested," he shouts to her over the din, "I hope you have a few minutes?"

"It depends entirely upon who requests it," she returns. Her voice is a normal volume, mirrored telepathically for clarity. "And how important it is that it's squishing my flowers."

"The Fleet Commander. We apologize about your flowers, but this concerns your friend Yoru and the attack from Il'sha tomorrow." The man's voice snaps sharply, definitely the timbre of an officer.

Attack tomorrow? "Ah. Right then." That said, she's suddenly by the fellow's side. "So. Where to?"

"Going up," he nods as the platform begins to rise. "Just so you know," he shouts to her, "there is very little inside the ship. Just a gate to the bridge, and the bridge is far away from here. We don't like risking our officers."

"Fair enough." Risking them to what, faulty wiring?

The lift rises, soaking into the belly of The Fer-de-lance as if it weren't there at all.
