Yin drops about five inches to the ground. Isn't thrown off balance, immediately glancing around for danger...inclu
ding stray snakes once she realizes where she is.
There's nothing in the general vicinity. The air still smells of snake, but the silence breathes and sighs. Patricio's exit lies sealed.
"There you are!" Tragedy calls from the top of the stairs, flanked by a trio of what appear to be zombies of some sort.
Their skin stretches taut over their boyish faces, their clothes are tattered and they gaze glassily down at Yin, staring at her eyes.
Tragedy begins to descend, the children following her. "Where have you been?"
Yin's eyes glance over the children, then back to Tragedy. "As quickly as I'm getting dragged around as of late, I don't even know anymore."
"I was just beginning to fall in love with you," Tragedy pouts. She pauses at the third step, looking Yin over as if determining risk factors before proceeding. "But I am pleased to see you have returned."
There's a pistol holstered at the dragoon's side, but her stance isn't overtly threatening. "Glad to be here. So. Your dad been around lately?"
"Lenocinant? That bore? Yes, he and his green-haired whore with some new boy toy. I just do not see the attraction." Tragedy leans against the banister. "Why do you ask? I hope you aren't thinking of becoming his whore."
"Nothing of the sort, don't worry." Revilier... "So, tell me, Tragedy...what would you expect to become of this boy toy?"
"I have no idea. Lenocinant likes to play with mortals and throw them away. Generally speaking. I, on the other hand, prefer to look." She takes a single step down. "I love you, you know. I wonder if you will stay with me?"
"Not for long. You'd get tired of me, anyway. I'm a bitch. Where did...Lenocinant," she thinks she'd gotten that right, "and posse go?"
"Oh, I don't know." Another step. "Stay with me. I promise I will give you heaven and earth." Her gaze deepens. The children follow along, in perfect step.
A half-step back...for either retreat or defense. Hand wanders casually closer to her gun. "I have my home elsewhere, Tragedy. Right now I really need to find you dad's 'green-haired whore'."
"Trilene? She went to her chambers in the basement." Tragedy's voice turns to silk, just as the zombie children begin to intone the last few words of her sentences. "But don't be afraid. I'll love you."
"Does Trilene still have the aforementioned boy toy with her, or is he elsewhere?"
"Stop teasing me!" Tragedy stamps her foot, and the zombie children stamp in rhythm a moment later.
"I'm not teasing, I'm distracted." Yin had glanced elsewhere, now back to the house's owner. "I know what it's like to love, Tragedy, 'ice queen' only goes so deep. It means someone else being your whole world and being ready to do anything to rotect them...and I happen to be quite a bit fixated on finding the mentioned boy toy before something worse happens to him."
"What do I care about him? It is your and my stars that lie crossed." Tragedy covers her chest with her folding arms.
About then, a small box begins to blink with a green light nearby - Menayen's goody bag.
"You really don't have a clue that the world functions when you're not looking at it, do you?" Glances when something catches her eye...huh. Nice. Heads in the direction of the box, though not all of her attention has left Tragedy.
Tragedy glares, and nods.
The zombies move to place themselves between Yin and the box.
"It doesn't matter to me. I plan to love you until the shine has gone off the apple. My lost boys will see to it that you love me back."
Yin's eyes flash though her expression as a whole only shows the slightest change. Hand sets to the pistol. "It isn't love if it's coerced, Tragedy. It's just an idiotic farce." Lost boys...Tinkerbell? Ah. So they are in it together.
"Oh you poor ignorant soul!"
Eyes and teeth appear from the shadows under the stairs. "Love is a farce. Didn't you know?"
Back teeth grit. She does not need this right now...also, the odds are being stacked increasingly against her. "Be that as it may, I still need to find Trilene. Call your zombies aside."
"Promise me you'll be mine," Tragedy pouts.
Comedy's eyes roll, eerily so without a face. "You're a spy. Do you have a camera?"
Pause. "Yes, I do."
"Take a picture and give it to her. She only wants to look at you."
Tragedy stomps her foot again. "Brother! That is not fair!"
Will it work? God, she hopes so. The spy quickly drops her bag down from her shoulder to reach through it. That hand remains near her gun, but awkward, so she's defensive.
The zombies leap for her, all at once. One each aims for her arms, the other for her chest, to grab and tackle her.
Arm snaps down to drop her bag completely; there's no time to shoulder it. The dragoon leaps backward in the same motion, draws her gun as soon as she can get her hand back up, and fires quick successive shots at heads of the chest-aimed zombie and then the one going for her left arm.
The first bullet thunks into the skull of the first lost boy, dropping him to the floor where he quite suddenly degenerates into dust. The second takes the bullet to the long-gone teeth, and keeps coming, grabbing for Yin's arm along with his brother.
Gun raises just a touch and fires again as one foot plants and she changes direction, trying to break out of the hole she'd made by dispatching the one. Her face doesn't particularly change through any of this.
The zombies, being zombies, grab for her but aren't terribly quick. Yin punches neatly between them, but of course they turn around.
Menayen's box beeps and open with a hiss of gas. Inside there lies a James Bond wristwatch/ ultra short range cutting laser, some blood substitute, a few minute semtex bombs, a pack of stick matches, and a swiss army knife and earpiece communicator.
First things first. Yin drops to a steady, kneeling firing position beside the box and fires two more shots at two zombie heads.
They drop, taken cleanly by Yin's sharp shooting. Tragedy rushes towards them, trying to catch them before they turn into dust, but only gets dust on her dress.
"How could you murder them like that?" she demands, eyes ripping everything around her to shreds. "How could you be so cold?"
Above, the hanged dancers swing silently to and fro.
Gun lowers, though it remains in hand and ready to fire, as the dragoon first sets the communicator to her ear and then picks up the watch. "They attacked me. I retaliated." Yin glances briefly up the the ceiling, before back to Menayen's box. Really, she's keeping a careful eye on the house's mistress in the periphery. "But, hey. Glad to know I'm the unbalanced murderer around here. I like to be informed." Arranges the bombs next and tucks the matches into a pocket.
Tragedy holds her answer, blocking it with tears and sobbing. She tries to pick up the dust, but of course it falls through her fingers. Comedy appears in an instant, arms around her, soothing her, but she doesn't stop.
"I'll kill you for this," she screeches between gasping sobs. "You'll never leave this place alive. I swear it!"
"Fair enough." Yin shakes her head. Finishes packing Menayen's supplies and slips her bag over your shoulder again. "Just keep in mind than any of your little slaves who try to kill me will stand danger of being killed, themselves. I'm not going to attack any of them without me or one of my friends first being in danger. Any casualties will be the direct results of your actions, so...just something to keep in mind." Gun still in hand, she turns off in search of Revilier.
Tragedy makes no move to restrain Yin. Just sifts through the dust until she locates the three gems she's looking for, and pockets them. Leans back against her brother, and closes her eyes.
"Take that man and stow him on the Captain's ship," she whispers. "You'll do that for me, won't you?"
Comedy nods, beaming out of her line of sight. "Of course." Kisses the crown of her head.
Meanwhile, Yin's path to the downstairs dungeon is mostly clear. Skulls and bones and such litter the floors, but the scent is neutral and there aren't really that many rats. Empty cells line the sides of the narrowing hallway, leading to a green carpet flowing up the hallway.
At the end, a throne like chair sits. Perhaps two thousand feet away from, but in direct line of sight from, the entrance, the chair buzzes softly with electric current stored away.
Trilene dances around the chair, attired in only a mint thong and cut off tank top. Revilier's eyes are squeezed tightly shut in the chair.
Yin's expression only barely manages to stay neutral. Is that...a pretty electric chair?
Her pistol is still in hand. She's quite wary as she steps onto the green carpet and starts towards the throne. That is a long-ass hall.
"... are so cute. Please let me experience you once before you die. Come on. You've embraced figurative demons before. Why not me?" Trilene moves very much like a babydoll-eyed stripper, every step languid, swaying, offering. Revilier's eyes remain shut. The green-haired punky demoness pouts, and sits on his lap. "Your girlfriend is coming. Want to share her?"
The entire room smells of metal, of the shards the Wyvern creates now and again to stab at her. As soon as they rise, however, the shards drop to the ground.
Trilene gazes in Yin's direction. Beckons to her with a finger.
Yeah, there was no hiding the approach. She just looks like an irritated, all-business dragoon. Once she's close enough... "I'm debating whether to ask questions or, given the tone of the day, shoot first."
"Well, I wouldn't know. You're Yin." Trilene smiles at her, eyes eating her alive. "Do you mind if I borrow him?"
"A bit, yeah, since he doesn't look keen on the idea. Revilier, are you all right?"
"This crazy bitch has gone through four outfits," the general grumbles, eyes still shut. "I tried to convince her I liked men, but..."
"I've watched you and her together too many times to believe that," Trilene snaps. "Idiot."
Yin manages a little grin...completely glossing over the part about voyeurism for now. "Revilier. You don't want that. You're just pretty enough to be Bottom." Looks back to Trilene. "Let him go."
Trilene pushes back against him, grinding into his lap.
"Share him."
Gun rises. Clicks. "Look, I know just enough about demons to know that agreeing to anything verbatim may be more than I bargained for. Let him out of the damned chair."
A moth flutters from the ceiling. If flies haphazardly around, ignoring Yin; a true, all purpose moth.
Trilene leans back, rests her head against REvilier's shoulder. "I don't wanna."
"I don't want to shoot you, either, but I'm not in the mood for games."
"I am." Trilene turns her head, expels a hot breath against Revilier's neck. He grits his teeth, jerks against the bonds of the chair. "Look at him." Her lips brush his neck.
The moth flies down, to light on the chair.
Falls through it, rights itself, and flies away.
Yin's fangs bare instantly. Oh, for the love of... Fires at
the demon's outside shoulder, removed from her beau.
The bullet passes through her. Trilene covers her mouth, somehow looking slutty and surprised in the same motion.
"Oops! You missed!" She turns, straddling Revilier's lap even though he fights her so fiercely that blood flows from his bound arms. Begins tearing at the buttons of his shirt, laughing all the while.
The dragoon is trembling with rage by now...no doubt one of the intentions. "Where are you really?" She snarls. "What in the hell are you trying to accomplish with all this?"
"Well. I imagine your friend is being abducted while you're here watching me and your boyfriend here. I, on the other hand..." this as the demoness draws a stiletto from a barely visible holster under her shirt, "... I just want to have a nice, comfortable orgasm or two. Mortals have so much energy." She slashes at his shirt, laughing at drawing a little blood.
Yin's fists are balled now. Touches the communicator at her ear. "Kaz. You there? Is Alou okay?"
A hiss of static gently sounds when she touches the device, a connecting pause. Then...
"I'm here. She's just fine, stopped freaking out and everything. I'm here with Petrovic's demonologist. Very cool guy, has a kickass sword."
"Awesome." She's not in the right frame of mind to think about making gay jokes right now, though she usually would just because he's Menayen. "Meanwhile, this chick here says they're busy abducting 'my friend' while I'm here, and they're very good with illusions, so careful right?"
She glares at Trilene. "Where is he really? Answer me!"
Menayen pokes Alouette. " She's here. Is everything okay?"
Trilene has most of Revilier's shirt cut away, and the furious Wyvern is bleeding from several cuts. The demoness, eyes glowing, laughing happily, drives the knife into the buckle of his belt.
"Ha! Good thing for steel, eh? And just thick enough to keep you from becoming a corn dog." She squeals delightedly, ignoring Yin.
"Fine, if I don't have some sort of coronary," Yin grumbles after a moment. "Is there any chance of getting a lock on Revilier's location?"
"I can try. Hold on."
"Get off me!" Revilier snaps. A peeling of the neck strap is already loose, and just as Trilene gets his belt off the general lunges forward. His forehead cracks against her temple. Pale green blood flows from the wound and Trilene almost falls from his lap.
And then she rams her forehead into his, cackling when bone splits bone. A hairline fracture in Revilier's skull tears a scream from his throat, and Trilene simply gets back to working at his buttons and zipper.
"Boys like it rough," she laughs.
Yin's agape at this, furious and terrified at the same time, and tears sparkle in her eyes. Fists grit. "Please hurry," she murmurs to Kaz, tone different than before.
Trilene pulls his pants down, cuts away his briefs, wasting no more time except to slug him once for no apparent reason at all-- except to amuse herself. "Look at this..." she purrs. "Now, are you sure you don't want to share him?" This as she wraps her fingers around him. Eyes bore holes in Yin.
"THey're twenty five feet to your left, Yin!"
Eyes snap open a touch. She hadn't heard them. Whips in that direction, at a quiet jog, scanning the surroundings. In another room, or...?
There's just a wall there. Though if Yin got close enough, she could prolly hear revilier growling through the wall, and by the illusion.
Trilene slowly, amusedly, removes her thong and sits on his lap again. "Aww..." grinds. "Nothing? Maybe a little boost would help you." This as she reaches for a switch on the side of the chair.
The dragoon snarls, hands running up and down over it as she begins to run down it, looking for an entrance. Probably needs to find a way around. Faster. Revilier...
Yin's hands slide over nothing but bare wall. Trilene's arms loop around the generals neck, her center pressed against his apparent uninterest.
Kisses him, and presses the button. The sound of a generator warming up can be heard through the walls.
Yin's running now. Looking high and low, glancing down in either direction for ways around, just...anything.
"Yin, what are you doing? Use the semtex I sent you!" Menayen isn't purring now. Just hissing.
Ah. Right, that. Ugh...she's so off her game. Humiliated, but no time for that. Without a word, bombs set to the wall, armed, and she leaps back.
The bombs beep and detonate with a sick thump, hollow and deep enough to rattle the bars of cages. In smoke and rubble the next room appears, just as Trilene bucks her hips against Revilier and the generator screams to life. The lights dim and raise, dim and raise against the buzzing of electrocution, and both Demoness and Wyvern jerk against the current.
Inside the room, Yin might be able to make out the chair through the smoke.
She does...and a sick, hissing buzz and burning stench she's encountered before.
Oh god...
She sprints towards the generator, ice blade crystallizing rapidly and raising to swing the instant she finds the power cords.
The electricity dies out almost instantly, as do Trilene's ecstatic screams. The smoke clears, and the chair is visible at last.
But the man sitting in it is wide awake, and definitely not Revilier. His snake staff lies on the ground nearby.
Yin catches her shaking breath. God...what if...is this being mirrored wherever Revilier is...? Squeezes her eyes shut a moment. "Kaz," she murmurs as she wraps her hands in dry bandages to absorb residual current to free the cleric... "this wasn't Revilier."
"Yes it is. I'm serious." Kaz looks at his moniter. "I'm not kidding... and the demon guy says Trilene is gonna use all kind of illusions on you, if she's interested in you. DOn't trust your eyes."
Yin is quiet. He needs help whoever he is. Hands thoroughly wrapped, spires of ice springing from the floor try to sever the bonds so she can lift him out of the chair.
This works flawlessly, and the man in the chair, who looks like Patricio but is dressed as Revilier - shredded garment and all - tumbles out of it.
Braced against a slight shock, the dragoon catches just his head right before it hits the ground, careful to not jerk his neck. It won't due to get herself electrocuted, either. Waits a few moments. He should be grounded enough, right? Unwraps her hands, glowing brilliantly gold, and sets them to either side of...this man's...chest, fast intent and blank at once.
Trilene's soft laughter can be heard pillowing down the halls. The man, whose muscles are harder than they appear, doesn't resist Yin's efforts.
The feel of his chest... "Revilier...?" Yin finally murmurs. "Revilier, are you with me...? Please say something..."
"... crazy bitch..."
A clipped laugh that just barely withholds itself from containing a relieved sob breaks from the dragoon's throat, before she forces it back to a more normal, teasing smirk. Moves one of her glowing hands gently to his cheek, the other remaining on his chest. "Am not," she observes softly.
"... I was just raped by a ninety pound woman." Revilier's eyes open, and the image dispels. "I don't know whether to be proud or mortified. I..."
Revilier pauses at the sound of bootsteps on the green mile.
Yin actually jumps over him, feet planting so that she has a clear shot at the blown out entrance. One hand goes for her gun, the other remains on the wyvern's cheek, still burning brightly. She's silent, trying to gauge how close the footsteps are. Whether she has time to grab Revilier and get the hell out of here.
"Yin. There's something coming. Something big. Like... Goliath big. Guy says its an... overseer inferior. Dunno what that is."
If Yin peeks down the hall, she should get an eyeful of what one is. Eight feet of thick, exoskeletally reinforced muscle attired in a captain morgan-esque outfit stomps towards them, its segmented, faceless head opening now and again to sniff the air. In the monster's hands there lies an enormous shotel blade mounted to a pole, almost like a hook.
"This guy says it's a Malufel pup. Dunno what that is either, but watch your shapely ass."
Yin does peak. Eyes widen. Ohhh...fuck. Captain Hook, she presumes? Silently, quickly tries to help Revilier to his feet. Hoping he can stand, spell burning more brightly than before.
He can, and only has to lean on her a little bit. "What's wrong...?" he demands, peeking out as well. "... damn. Okay. New exit. DO you have any explosive left?"
Captain Hook thunders towards them, feelers open, searching.
She nods. Hurries to an appropriate wall, sets up the charges, glances to Revilier to make sure he's clear and ready, then jumps back to ignite them.
The wall blasts open, to reveal a second room and chair. This one has a second exit, though, leading to a similar prison path marked "Dance Hall". Revilier smiles at her.
"Go ahead, I'm right behind you." He glances back to Hook, who is within stone-throwing range.
Yin smiles back, nods once, and takes off in that direction...splitting attention between the path ahead and Revilier, worried.
Revilier, who feels much better despite being mostly naked, sets to building a wall of metal to seal up the blast holes. It works well, and in a moment he's jogging to catch up to his beloved.
He's just about reached her when the clang of hook against metal screams over them.
"How do we get out of this hellhole?"
"I'm thinking luck, prayers, and maybe a sporty lottery. I kind of pissed off one of the people who owns the place, probably the other by proximity, so that's not quite helpful." She grins back at Revilier a moment. "I assure you, though, she started it."
She hops a couple of steps to get the small pistol out of her boot, and holds the larger one out to the wyvern when he inevitably catches her during the kangaroo pace. "Also, up. We're below the main entrances. Kaz, any chance of getting us teleported out of here?"
"Yup. Just say when!"
Revilier almost covers his ears at the shriek of metal tearing behind them. Hook batters its way through the last of the walls. Not a drop of blood clings to the sharp, torn edges it rumbles through.
"I think fast is good," the Wyvern notes.
"Giant sickle-weilding monster. Check. I'm moved to agree." Yin is quick to step back and thread her arm through Revilier's, taking a tight hold with the other hand. Smiles at him. "We're good to go whenever you are, Kaz."
"Okee day! Just..."
The line goes dead for a second.
"Hello, Yin," Trilene's voice pours through the connection. "I found a kitty-cat."
Yin stiffens just momentarily. Glances to Revilier. "New plan. Run faster."
The Wyvern's muscles harden, planting each step at a roll. He doesn't know what's going on, but trusts Yin's judgment enough to know something is badly out of sorts.
He half-turns, fires once at the open skull of the monster to no effect at all.
"Much faster."
Yin sprints along with Revilier...she's fast, but as it turns out, so is he...maybe a touch faster, and she's putting everything she has into not slowing him down. Sprinting has never been at the tip-top of her "escape strategies" list, except from humans.
Ice begins to crystallize in the ceiling a short distance in front of them...attempts to burst and collapse it a split-second after they pass underneath, scanning for indications of the way out. "What have you done with Kaz, Trilene?" Yin demands as they run.
It works, dragging tons upon tons of rock directly into the path of Hook. Its thumping footsteps do not slow, however, even though Revilier can see that it's not following them anymore.
"Nothing. I'm petting him. He's a doll."
Yin grins her teeth. Damnit! Glances behind them. Did it stop following, or is it just looking for a way around? Up in any case, and she doesn't slow, running along beside her clothing-impaired wyvern. "Kaz, we're in trouble here! Snap the fuck out of it!"
"Yeah, right," Trilene chuckles. "My kitty."
Yin sighs, and mutes the communicator. "We're in trouble," the slightly winded dragoon notes as she looks up to Revilier. "Psychobitch has some kind of hold over Kaz. I'm thinking we get out of the house and...and please don't kill me...go to the land of Oz." Smirks a little. "It was what was suggested earlier when first trying to get home."
"The land of..." Revilier closes his eyes. "It was probably hard enough for you to say that, so I won't question it. If she can reach into the physical realm so easily, though, I wonder why she doesn't just snatch Alou?"
A tremorous pounding sounds from behind the wall just to their right. Cracks split the stone, and dust sails into the air.
"Fuck!" Yin squeaks, grabbing Revilier's hand and picking up speed as they hit a flight of stairs.
The stairs lead to the dance hall, emerging from just behind a stand of lifeless puppets on the north side. There's a soft chant going on from somewhere nearby-- the same one Yin heard during Guildenstern's funeral. Tragedy's whimpers rise above them only now and again.
And somehow, Hook's footsteps provide the percussion.
A new stairwell glows to life at the edge of the floor, spiralling up and up and labelled "port and galley".
"I know up leads out maybe. But it'll take time and the pissed lady is up there. No idea on portgalley there. Opinion?" This as they approach.
"That monster was Captain Hook, right? It must have a ship somewhere, and port's the likely place." Revilier shakes his head, unable to believe he's saying that. "Galley could be a kitchen. If you know there's a way out, though, let's go that way."
"Known dangers it is. Man after my own heart." Grins a bit, and races up towards the chanting, holding her breath. This could be very bad.
Above, the chanting grows louder. The next floor is like an enormous guest suite, with chairs, tables, a minibar and all the fixings. Puppets dressed in bright blue robes amble in lines around a trio of urns, singing of the lost boys. Gazing down at them from the wall, Tragedy sings and sobs with them.
Crucified.
Yin cringes. "That would be the house owner I pissed off," she murmurs quietly to the wyvern as they skitter along the wall towards the clock. She glances ahead to see whether the stairs leading to the main level are open.
Revilier stops, though. "Is she going to be okay?" And the stairs are open, though a few puppets are wandering around the base.
"She's grieving for the zombies I killed when she had them attack me. And...I have no idea. Her perspectives on reality, especially cause and effect, seem...distorted. I honestly don't think it occurred to her that I might actually hurt them." Her voice is extremely soft, trying to keep from anyone else hearing. "Revilier...we should get out of here while we can."
He looks at Tragedy, who doesn't pay him any attention. This day keeps getting weirder. "Can't we help her?"
The booming steps slow down. Stop, but not nearby. Or apparently so, anyway.
Pause. He's such a good man, he is. That he cares so deeply about people is part of why he's a truly fantastic leader. But she doesn't want them to both get killed for it, either. Hesitates. "What do you think we should do?"
The wyvern turns his eyes upon her, his love, whose pragmatic nature both infuriates and comforts him on a daily basis. "Heal her? Help her down? I don't know."
The steps start again. He turns his head, heart beginning to race.
Yin glances back, too. "I don't know for sure she didn't do that herself, for whatever reason. She's very powerful here, and I don't know that she has enemies on the premesis. And she's not read in the head."
Damn. Damn damn damn. Think fast. Grits her teeth. It will never sit on Revilier's conscience if they do nothing. "Tragedy," she calls, "do you need help?"
"I need you to die," Tragedy whimpers in return. Revilier's eyes snap to her, meeting hers just as the pistol lines up with her head. Another second, and he'll pull the trigger if Yin does nothing to stop him.
Yin takes the raised hand in hers. Not covering the barrel, too dangerous, but to stay it. "Revilier..." she murmurs, gazing up at him... "you'll never forgive yourself. Let's get the hell out of here."
"Right... right." He nods. Lowers the weapon, and turns to run with her just as a shattering of woodworks sends puppet parts flying across the floor. Hook bursts over the stairwell's threshhold at full murderous clip, head open, screaming.
Fangs bare.
No time for glibness. Still holding onto Revilier's hand at first, she dashes towards the opposite staircase leading towards the front hall, at a full sprint as soon as she's sure he's with her.
He's running, too. If it's enough to scare Yin, it's more than enough to scare him; he knows his limits.
Hook barrels through the mourning puppets, though curiously they step aside for him well enough that not one is damaged.
The front hall is as it was before; the scent of snake, a wide chamber, and four solid walls with one sealed escape route, next to a statue of a cobra.
Yin's teeth grit, and she runs up to the cobra, eyes darting over it. Visible clock? Lever? Something?
On the underside of its hood, a small clock sits, reading 0845.
Revilier lifts the gun again. "It's on us," he warns and fires ineffectively. Hook slows when it reaches the stairs, taking its time, sniffing for them.
"Be right with you," Yin murmurs. Opens the clock face, twists the hands as quickly as she can to 1:50, and closes it, holding her breath.
The wall nearby grinds open, slowly, agonizingly slowly. Fresh air pours into Hamartia.
Hook smells it. Its pace quickens.
"Go Yin!" Revilier shouts as he fires again. No good. "I'll slow it up." This as steel nails spring upwards and into the monster's feet, some doing nothing, others piercing a little to hang it up.
The nails are joined by ice that attempts to race halfway up the creature's calves. Grabs the wyvern's non-gun wrist. "Together only, buster, you're stuck with me. Let's get out of here!" Manages to smile a little.
He returns it, and dashes with her. The monster screams and tears free, leaping over the banister. Crashing towards them.
"Come on, come on!" A voice shouts from the exit.
Red.
This would surprise the dragoon. Except nothing could surprise her at this point. She sprints for the exit with all she's got.
When Yin and Revilier burst through the door, Red frantically spins the outer clock dial so that the wall seals shut. She takes one pausing look at mostly naked Revilier, clicks her tongue, and sprints towards the forest. "Come on!" she shouts, running past the three courtyard statues, planning to stop at Hubris to wait for them.
"She likes the view, too," Yin quips breathlessly at the wyvern, of course running after Red.
