The warehouse dwarfs most of the buildings in the area. Wide open, with few hiding places and little in the way of flammable or electrical hazards-- it's mostly cleared out.

Outside, Sima Chao Lia walks beside of Yin, Revilier, and probably Arux if he's kept up. "Now. Place is cased. You take muscles here," she looks at Revilier, "and go inside the front gate, just as planned. We've got an AV bug on both of you. Just don't panic much."

Yin nods. "Sounds like a plan." Looks to the wyvern. "Ready, sir?"

Revilier just nods a bit.

Yin breathes out...unlocks the wyvern's cuffs, apparently carefully, and clips them back to her belt. Doesn't actually expect a problem with this, of course. She smiles just a little back at Arux. It had been nice getting to talk to him on the plane. A lot had gone unsaid, but...good friends can just let you lean on them, even if they can't find out what's wrong yet.

"Okay, then." Looks back to Major Chao Lia and Arux. "See you soon." This said, she starts off for the front door, cautiously alert...muscles tense, alert, and half expecting something cataclysmic to happen the moment a foot plants in the warehouse. Thus, she's one step ahead of Revilier.

He follows along, looking around. Trusting Yin, of course, to do her job.

Inside of the factory, most all of the space is open. Except for a chair, filled with a battle-dressed Adelisa. There is a catwalk around the walls, but it seems empty as well. The lights are all down, except for a spot on the Wyvern leader.

"Hello. Where is the cavalry?" Her voice drips honey, as usual.

"Around, probably. And yours?" Yin returns. She'd finally elected to go with partial armor, and key, smaller pieces are visible over or under her clothes.

"Circling the building. I'll take the spell, now." She's sitting apparently undefended... which of course means she's heavily defended. She stands up, takes a step forward.

Yin glances to Revilier. Isn't sure what he wants to do...and also worried. He is having to face a daughter who just betrayed him utterly and frustrated every hope he may have held for her as worthwhile citizen of Earth.

Adelisa smiles at her father. Looks at Yin. Looks at him.

Holds out her hand to receive the spell, eyes smiling, mouth scowling. Her father lays his hand upon hers, stone faced.

And his entire body lights up with a Golden spell that is not his own.

Yin stiffens, eyes, narrowing and body already tensing to strike or defend. What the HELL...? Pistol jerks up, hand tensing to fire.

Revilier can't answer. His eyes, so vibrant a moment ago, fade into cold, sterile gold. He doesn't pull away or react much at all. And throughout, Adelisa just smiles.

"Pull the gun, Yin," she laughs, and attempts to manifest a thick chunk of metal in the barrel of the weapon. She is a Silver, just like her family.

This works. The vampiress's fangs bare into a snarl when she feels the weight change, and just tosses it aside. "We already lost Revilier," she murmurs for the sake of her bug.

"Oh, we're about to lose a lot more than that." Adelisa lowers her head a little, and speaks into her polymer collar. "Millarca. We've got her. Kill the dragons and I'll seal off the warehouse." Looks at Yin. "I hope your friend Arux isn't out there," she chuckles, eyes lighting up as machine gun fire sounds outside the building.

An extra shade of white, and tightening teeth. Ellen stiffens, tensed to go out fighting.

Arux, meanwhile, growls at phantom pain when a shadow-forged duplicate of him is pierced by a dozen bullets. "Ja, set off your plants, now!"

The rust-eyed girl doesn't react but to hit the charges that Chao Lia had ordered planted.

All at once, then entire building erupts in a flash of white-burning light. Scream of pain sound from all around the perimeter. As the light fades, a dozen Mediators can be seen holding their face, temporarily blinded by the flash and muddled by the sound.

"Fire!"

And all planted snipers open fire, shooting to kill, at all visible mediators.

"All thermal-spectrum sights on," the dragoon commander snaps. "Get those doors back open!"

Dragons are elite soldiers, for certain. A number of the mediators fall, before a volley of returned fire erupts from the stands behind the building. Four Golden soldiers crouch behind cover, armed with archaic Kalashnikovs. There doesn't seem to be a leader of any kind outside, though.

Two dragoons go down. A small team breaks forwards, covered by heavy fire, trying to plant explosives on the door and crack it open.

The Golden seem more intent on making a show than actually defending the building. After a moment, the door crack apart, and the innards of the building are exposed to the outsiders.

"Extract Yin safely," Arux barks as he arms his own weapons. "Take Adelisa out. Extract Revilier. Priorities in that order! Team two with me!" He's running for the entrance, flanked by several of his comrades, as he speaks.

"Come on, Yin," Adelisa laughs, despite the blood trickling from her right temple and cheek, "can't you fight like a woman?" She tosses aside her frozen shotgun.

"Oh, no." Yin's fangs are distinctly bared, draconic growl rumbling in the back of her throat. "I fight like a bitch." An almost polearm-long, axe-like blade finishes crystallizing on one of her arms, a broad shortsword blade over the other. It's the former that swings for the wyvern's throat as she charges.

Adelisa's entire left arm encases itself in a shield of metal, rising to parry the axeblade. "Loyal to your bloodline, then," she hisses, thrusting her suddenly bladed fingers towards Yin's belly in the same instant.

The axe shatters into a spray of needle-sharp projectiles on impact, regenerating even as they fly. The shortsword flashes up to parry the fingers. A thin film of ice tries to coat the ground beneath them and bias the playing field. "One of us has to be," she snarls in return.

Adelisa doesn't speak in response, just shoves her head toward's Yin's, a sheet of Silver wyvern metal forming over her forehead.

Yin lurches backward mosquito-quick. There's impact, but not a lot of it. Short sword slashes up and across, hoping for throat.

Again, it meets nothing but metal. Adelisa hops back as well, smiling a little more brightly. Looks over Yin's shoulder. "Oh. There's the cavalry. Bye! Millarca!" She takes three quick steps back, heading towards the blue spiral the fades into the floor.

Yin snarls. Blind aggression she can do. Doesn't want to follow into the portal...but sure as hell doesn't want Adelisa to get there, either. She springs after the wyvern, axe-blace, crumbling away. That hand falls back just long enough to fly forward again, a volley of dagger-sharp icicles careening after the wyvern, sword ready to follow.

Adelisa reacts as she has more or less as a rule so far... a shield of metal in front of her. In a flash of light she's gone, leaving only a small piece of paper in her wake.

The paper reads:

"Kaz is behind the crates in the corner. He might still be alive, if we were quick."

Yin snatches the paper cautiously...damnit. Probably a trap. She's watching for other portals, but the entrance of Arux and crew sees her sprinting towards the crates.

No traps. Just a badly beaten Serinian lying on his side with needle marks in his neck and arms.

Yin waves the dragoons over. "We need medical help!" Kneels beside Kaz, two fingers finding his pulse, the other hand settling over one of his cheeks. "Kaz? Menayen? You here?"

He looks at her with glassy, empty eyes. "...whore..." he mutters. "Fucking... tramp..."

The edges of her lips twitch, though she doesn't quite manage a smile. Well. Definitely Kaz, anyway. "Am not," she murmurs at him as she slips off her jacket, laying it over him as though for warmth against shock. Really, it also covers her hand and hides what she's doing. The palm presses flat to the side of her neck, and a certain glowing symbol traces to life beneath her knuckles, other hand still holding his cheek to steady him.

The light envelops him, and with it comes the rush of healing energy that dissolves the poisons in his veins and seals the marks on his face and neck. His eyes clear a little bit. Looks at Yin.

"Ellen...?"

She smiles at him a bit, still on a knee beside him. "Yeah. Hey there. You look stupid with a concussion. Lie still anyway. You okay?"

He pauses. "You look like I need a hug."

She grins just the littlest bit. This trip sucks. She cringes to think of Revilier's eyes. But...this is a definite perk. She bends, threading her arm under his neck and shoulders, expression fading, and hugs the serinian gently. Poor little guy. He may be Kaz, but...he's only sentient.

He closes his eyes. Sucks indeed... he's never been beaten with a boot before. "She owns it all," he whispers. "She had moles in Tarantella, dozens of them.  They all came out at once, used their gathered power to oust existing leadership."

"You can tell us about it later, on the way home." Yin nods. She's not sure they're safe yet. Looks up at Arux's approach, and back down to Menayen, still holding him. Pets his hair a little, on instinct. "Do you think you can stand?" She inquires gently, lifting him into a sitting position and supporting him there.

"I can think about it," the fuzzball admits. One hand on the floor, blinking a bit from effort, he pushes himself up to a wobbly vertical base. Grabs her arm, though, when he nearly tumbles over. "I didn't tell her where Troix was, but she kept asking and hitting and asking and hitting and hitting."

Yin's expression softens and clouds simultaneously. She's quickly a bit lower to wrap one of her arms under both of his, squeezing his wrist reassuringly. "'She' being Adelisa?"

"Yup," he nods, "and a mediator. Bitsh."

"'Millarca,' I'm guessing." Nods a bit. "Bitshes both. You're okay now, though." Smiles a bit. Looks up to Arux. "How's the situation outside?"

"Controlled. Are you okay?"

She nods. Glances back to Revilier a long moment, then back up to Arux. "So can we get out of here now? Please?"

"Yeah."

Yin looks at Menayen. "So. Bi-curious enough to let yourself get carried out by a burly man? Of course you are."

"I can walk, I think," he assures her. Takes an awkward step. Then a more sure one. "See? So where we goin'?"

"Plane. Back to Okarthel, almost certainly."

"Hospital in your case," Arux observes as he takes over for Yin, carefully providing the serinian with an arm amusingly close to the diameter of Kaz's waist.

"Maybe Alou needs a bed partner," Yin smirks. Pats Kaz's hair, and turns to head back towards the more-golden-than-before wyvern, expression clouding. "Revilier...?"

The wyvern general is standing still as an hourglass turned on its side. Just staring with those golden eyes, completely catatonic.

Menayen wanders up to him, blinking again. "He looks just like all those other people I was in a cell with."

Yin's face...deadens a bit. Just...damn. She should have...there were a dozen ways this could have been prevented. He never should have come...she has the spell too. Stupid, stupid, and she hadn't been the one to pay for it.

Gazes into his eyes a bit...and finally just sighs quietly, looking down and aside a moment. Looks back up, recalling something he'd told her about the Golden in the past. "Revilier, go back to the plane."

In an instant, his golden eyes gain a touch of clarity. He doesn't acknowledge the statement, just... turns on his heel, and goes, moving with swift purpose to do as she commands. She's got the mark, after all.

Fingers to the bridge of her nose. "Great. Just...great."

Arux arches an eyebrow, testing. "Revilier, stop."

Of course, nothing.

Yin's former-and-again commander looks over to her. "You're going to have explain that one to me later.

"Not here." Yin just lends Menayen a shoulder. "Revilier, come back and keep pace with us." Doesn't want him to get shot, there are still occasional breaks of gunfire outside. And starts off that way, just...quiet.

He does, of course, not even looking at them. Menayen nods some. "Okay," he points out, "he'll be fine. He's listening to you, but look. These guys are enormously strong for some reason. Alert, fast, all that stuff. You can't let him hear the voice of anybody else who might be able to control him, like Adelisa."

Yin nods a bit. "I think my voice might override hers." Glances to Kaz. "But...she made them, too, so that's a wildcard. I don't know."

"It might explain that 'we have her' note to her mediator friend," Arux observes. Pauses to scout ahead outside, check the situation.

It's clear. All the golden are gone, along with the downed mediators. It's quiet... the aftermath on a battlefield.

Sima Chao Lia is waiting for them, a Dragoon medic busily wrapping gauze around her right bicep. "Well," she smirks, "that went well."

"Oh, swimmingly." Yin glances to the serinian. "At least we got Kaz back in one piece." Smiles a little. A mostly false smile, but she is glad that Menayen is okay. "Revilier, get back on the plane."

He does, walking right past the sleepy looking guard. Chao Lia smirks a little bit more.

"Wow... I wish men were that obedient for me," she snickers. "We didn't take any serious casualties. They fired back, but it was all cover."

Yin nods. "Good to hear." Breathes out.

Arux looks to another dragoon. "Any mediators killed, get their suits. Cover them, of course...jackets, whatever. But get their suits." The man nods, and hurries off to do this.

"Back to Okarthel, then?"
