About Fairy Tales

Fairy Tales, will present you with an image, a piece of writing or something else that could be used to inspire a fairy tale. Each time the contest is held you should base your work on what you see or hear.

The aim of this contest is for you to create a short (full story*) fictional piece of writing based on the image or material provided. You should think about what could be happening, Is it special in any way? Why is it so special?

Entries will be judged on originality, detail to the theme, and style of writing. Remember this is a short piece contest.

*By Full story I mean, that it should have a start, a beginning and an appropriate ending. So no sudden cut offs, leaving the reader puzzled :P

Entry Requirements

» Prose is accepted
Prose: 750 words max

» Focus must remain on the image, or material provided

Rules

» It MUST be an original piece by you.
» No prejudices against any other please.
» Create your entry on a seperate wiki page or writings page.

Prize

As with all contests I host, I will provide a personal crit of your work covering plot, characters, grammar, and writing style. You take the time to enter my contest, so I shall take the time to offer opinions on your writing.
