Nestled snugly in the
Lian-shi Mountains, this place doubles as an inn and a monestary, most often visited by those who wish to spend time getting away from everything. Even members of the Ono family have been known to lodge here, on occasion, so it is held in high esteem.

The monastery is in more than a small uproar. Dragons...mass
ive ones, headed here! It's almost impossible to tell whether such a creature, these gods, mean good or ill. However, these have the psychics some degree between wary and freaked the hell out. Patients are being shuffled to the most secure locations possible, and the monks are all running around like mad trying to get things in order, and throw together some form of an offering.
Outside, Aurgamet lumbers to a halt and lies upon its belly. Shal'ahn Min rises, and calls out in her lovely voice.
"Is anyone here?"
The head of the monastery, a shuffling old man, walks carefully outside to greet her, bowing most politely. "Yes, but of course. To what do we owe the honor of visitors such as yourselves?" Gods.
Shal'ahn smiles a little. Rubes, eh? That, she can handle.
"I am looking for one called Thenai. Is she here?" Her voice flows as beautifully as any brook in any meadow, anywhere. For now, she remains on the back of her gargoyle.
The little man blinks. "Of coure, of course...a minute, please." Bows again, and hurries inside.
Not long at all afterward, another blue-clad monk--a fairly young human woman, really, just in her twenties despite her solidly white hair, is shooed outside faster than she would have stepped naturally, shoved along by the monastery's head. He grabs Thenai's covered hand and walks before Shal'ahn as close as he dares, and prostrates himself again. Thenai is less observant of this, having not grown up in his religion, and is more interested in the creatures. Infernal, she's quite sure. Not demons, though...ow! She follows the other monk's lead after getting a walking stick to the back of the head.
Shal'ahn, though amused by the display, has business to attend. She hops down from the gargoyle's head, landing silently in front of them. "Please stand up," she asks of them, "no need to dirty your knees."
They both comply...the elder monk with artificial "see I did it!" quickness, and Thenai more like a normal human being. Looks up at Shal'ahn, though remembering to revert her eyes for manners after a few seconds. Manners, not fear. She's hard to scare or get any sort of rise out of...although this is working on it.
Shal'ahn glances between the two of them, thoughtfully. "Thenai. I came to talk to you about playing a part in the salvation of the universe. How do you feel about relocation?"
The monk blinks slowly. "I have no qualms with it. Which part would you have me play, Lady Siren?"
She tilts her head over. "You know your demonology. What I want is for you to help us with your medical skills. Your particular region's medicine is singularly potent, and we need non-sorcerous means at our disposal."
Thenai nods a bit. "Alright. It would be my honor. Though I should inquire further as to the nature of this conflict."
Shal'ahn sits upon Aurgamet's paw, crossing her legs alluringly. "Well."
In relatively brief terms, Shal'ahn describes the conflict as she knows it. She doesn't cover anything up or lie, simply fails to mention certain things, like the preemptive attack against Mara-kuru, and the impending crucifixion of the traitor Yoru.
"We hope to stymie all out war between the factions by removing the key players. Either by recruiting them, or by neutralizing them."
"So I'm your medic, or you will murder me right here." Thenai observes in her bland-ironic way. She's fine with reading subtext. "Well, so much for that tough decision." She nods.
Shal'ahn actually stiffens a little bit. "Forgive me. I would have done anything in my power to protect you, if you refused." Brightens. "But thankfully, that will not be necessary. Am I correct?"
"That is correct."
"Excellent. I hope you won't be opposed to riding a gargoyle?" Shal'ahn glances at her golden compatriot.
"Not at all." Thenai's grey eyes don't even register a real reaction to this, despite having never seen one before.
