Only the best of time's memories come here. It is a very temperate place, cool and warm, wet and dry, perhaps the most beautiful place in all of existence. Orchards and fields, plains, and the landmark once called Mount Olympus stand here, looking out over mechanized cities of brass and gold. Gods, sorcerers, men, and beasts all call this place home.

A particularly stressed Alsanael Yue enters the celestial plane from a maze gate, instantly aware of eyes on him. These are not the everyday eyes of passerby. No. They are probably Abyss's eyes, watching him. Nonetheless, the incubus trots to the arboreal home of Tel-tiono, and entreats entrance at the door.
The wizard--seer and all--is waiting for him, of course, and opens the door after just long enough to not startle the incubus. "Hello, Yue." Tilts his head a little. "You are looking well." He hasn't seen Yue since before the incident at the world tree.
"Oh..." it had slipped Yue's mind. He blushes a little bit, wrapping his arms around himself. He always feels like a little girl in this man's presence, for some reason. "Thank you. May I come in...?"
The wizard smiles. "Of course." Steps back from the door, and turns back to the inside. "Would you like some tea, Yue? It is mint, I assure you." Of course he senses how ansy Yue is, but it's really just like him to ignore that.
The incubus struts inside - even nervous, his hips are in full swish - and turns to face the seasoned gentleman once he is a good ways inside. "I would love... oh." Smiles some, ruby red lips gleaming. "Perhaps later. We need to speak on... well..." smiles more brightly. "You probably already know."
He smiles. "If you can arrange our leaving Inverse Time, Yue," he leans upon his staff. "I would be happy to help my daughter however I can."
Yue beams at him, brightening as though a massive weight has just fallen from his narrow shoulders. "You always know how to make a girl feel better, master Telian. I..." He bows his head deeply. "I apologize for not coming to see you. I've missed you..."
The wizard's expression softens, and he bows his head as well, though a touch more slightly. "I have missed you as well, Yue. You have a way of brightening an old wizard's day." Smiles, and tilts his head. "In the meantime...tea
, or are you in a greater hurry than that?"
"Oh..." Yue draws up, as though he's done something wrong. "I'm sorry. We really should go quickly. Is there anything you need to take with you...?"
"Only my staff. Is there anyone else we need to acquire?"
"There's a woman named Leilia somewhere... but I would rather get you to safety first." Yue nods to himself, and then to the wizard.
"Mm..." the wizard considers this. "I believe that Miss Leilia has taken work at the station, supervised under Top Hat." He smiles. "In the meantime, though, I will follow your lead, Yue."
The incubus smiles a little more brightly. "Thank you. I will get your staff for you, if you want?"
The wizard smiles and nods. "That would be lovely, Yue, thank you. It is in its usual spot." He's just using a normal cane to walk right now, and Yue knows his way around this place fairly well.
Yue unwraps his arms from around himself at last, and swishes his way to the stand where the wizard keeps his unique staff. "Oh," he pauses, just as he's about to reach for it, "is this trapped, still...?"
Tel-tiono smiles. "Not at the moment."
"Great!" Yue snags the staff most reverently - it was once a device that scared the panties off him, after all, the boomstick of his girlfriend's father - and heads back to the wizard, all smiles and plenty of swish and bounce. "I do expect to be assaulted, as soon as we leave, by the by."
"Oh, good. Life as usual, for one accustomed to accompanying my daughter?" Tel-tiono sets his cane aside, switching to using the staff for the same purpose. "Thank you."
"You are welcome. And yes. But listen." He wraps his arms around himself again, pensive but still smiling a dainty smile. "The gate isn't far. No matter what happens, you go to the gate. Alright?"
The wizard smiles. "I will bear it in mind, Yue."
"Good." The elegant incubus trots over to the door, pausing a moment to listen for unusual energy sensations before pushing it open. "Okay. It seems clear, so we'll just step outside, and cross the street to the gate. Are you ready?"
"Certainly." The three-legged wizard nods, manner still as sickeningly casual as ever, and heads out that way, humming a tune beneath his breath.
Yue steps out with him. He tries not to be too obvious in his looking around, but damned if it's easy. He can feel Abyss's eyes all over him, enough that his heart hammers in his chest and his body is wracked with involuntary shivers.
The gate lies just across the way, not fifty yards from Tel-tiono's door. Yue blinks at it, lip curling in disgust. He covers his mouth, not sure if it is to dissuade himself from vomiting or just in horror.
An effigy has been impaled before the gate, a strikingly accurate rendition of Yoru, impaled, with her slim little wrists nailed to posts on either side.
Even the wizard's mouth twitches towards a frown at this. Sets a gentle hand on Yue's arm to steady her, and continues walking, still humming quietly.
It just looks so real...! Yue closes his eyes as they walk past it, doing his best not to start sobbing. He wasn't especially close to Yoru, but she does not deserve the treatment she's facing, not at all.
As the walk past it, the effigy's eyes move to follow them. They even blink, slowly, and if Yue's energy sense did not tell him otherwise he would be convinced that this actually is Yoru.
The gate to the millenium maze looms before them, uncontested.
Though he wouldn't say it, Tel-tiono is more than happy to reach it, considering the awful spectacle being left behind.
