Unbeatable

They thought I would die but I'm alive!
They thought I would turn weak but I became strong!
They said the cancer, I couldn't beat;
Chemo and radiotherapy every three years
Making my life fragile and weak…
But I fought and I won! I shed no tears!

My cancer I weakened and they cut it out
Left me an ugly scar, without a doubt.
"Wait 10 years, then you'll have a normal face"
I go there, and they can't keep up with my pace
They say my eye is unfixable. By surgery not fixable…
I’m deeply struck, doubly hurt, felt cheated, like life isn’t worth.
I shed a tear, immediately put on my sunglasses;
Take it like a man! There are worst cases around the masses.

Expectations and dreams destroyed with a simple lie.
I wouldn’t feel any regret if I would die, losing all that is mine…
We leave the office; I act like it doesn't bother me,
To stop my mom from crying in the street.
But that's all that is for me: momentarily I lose hope,
In desperation I was soaked.

But then I remembered the important but little thing,
THIS IS MY LIFE! And I am sixteen…
I've always gone against them and did it all.
And so I will do it again, always standing tall!

No rest till answers are met!
No surrender! No giving up!
No whining or using it as an excuse,
To be inert, an asshole, depressed or to desist.
I’m not a quitter! I will resist, I will persist.
They can say all they want, all they fucking think.
But I HAVE THE LAST WORD!
Somewhere around the world…I will find a way
To finally have that miraculous day.

What I learned then and now know,
There’s so much more of me yet to unfold.
