Trapped Soul is C [Aeolynn] (Kim Baerwaldt)

1st Scene: The Sprinter

Marco Galloway first laid eyes on her in the middle of a basketball practice. A wall of glass and wire was all that separated the court and the pool, a unique design for a high school gym. It just so happened that the swim team was in the middle of practice as well and that’s when she entered; her steps were graceful as she calmly walked up to the coach. Marco could tell she was new because of the fact that no one dared to be late when Carl was coaching. Papers were exchanged and the strict coach nodded toward the pool and began to yell orders as the new girl undressed, revealing a dark blue swimsuit before entering a lane. While Marco’s focus was on her a basketball connected with the back of his head, “Oww!” He rubbed the back of his skull with a wince.

“Come on, Marco, keep practicing! You’re the team captain, how are you going to lead us to the district finals when you aren’t practicing?!” The basketball coach tossed another ball at him.

“Sorry Ben!” He caught the ball easily.

“That’s coach Ben to you dude!” Ben joked before talking to another player, a freshman who wasn’t used to girls in swimsuits doing dry land beside the pool. Dribbling the ball to a court closer to the wall of glass, Marco kept an eye on the distinct blue and white cap that the new swimmer was wearing. Surprisingly she was passing everyone in the lane she was in which made Carl move her to an even faster lane. Not long after that she was in the fastest lane, home to the current state champion and fellow state qualifiers. Marco’s ex-girlfriend was the captain and the fastest swimmer of the team of seventy-five girls, now seventy-six, not to mention one of the most selfish and most popular in the whole school.
Jessie had been the fastest since she was a freshman and the captain since she was a junior. Marco watched as the new swimmer began at the end of the lane, waiting patiently while each girl ahead of her pushed on an interval of five seconds. He recognized the current set they were completing; ten fifties on the thirty which translated as two laps finished within thirty seconds, ten times. Complicated? Not for Marco, he also was a swimmer.
Within four laps the new girl had passed up seven of the ten girls in the lane when Marco spared a glance at Jessie who was bright red with the effort of staying ahead of the pace this new swimmer had set and Jessie’s two best friends were beginning to slow. Passing Samantha, the new girl was right on the heels of Amy and by the next fifty, Jessie was being tailgated. Marco held his breath and walked after a ball he had purposefully missed and virtually effortlessly the new swimmer passed Jessie and finished the fifty even before Jessie had begun her last lap. Nearly laughing Marco dodged another ball from Ben and completed practice with renewed energy.
He decided that he really wanted to meet this person that had just beaten Jessie so easily. Shaking back his semi long brown hair Marco smiled then frowned.

But how would he meet her?

(I know this is short, please bear with me since I am at school, I only have access to the 1st scene...)
