Today, Frankenstien is a baby.
There is the large head of an infant,
His little body in a simple gown.
He is bald,
You don't want hair to get in the way of the Doctor's sewing.
The stitches are like train tracks
Bordering tectonic plates.
They are the colour of scar tissue on normal flesh.
My sister gasps in horror.
I'm too pleased that a surgeon can heal someone so well.
It's only afterwards that I realize
That a dog has mutilated this child.
