Just an unfinished practice, on the theme of one of the Flipside contests, though I won't be entering it.

The mouse shifted on his paws, the clothespin clutched tight, and brandished his meager weapon with vigor. A mouse's honor is a precious thing, though mightily underestimated by most. The dragon was one of these, green body glinting in the sun, scalely brows furrowed in puzzlement. The poor dear, he didn't realize his transgression (tripping the mouse's bride with a sweep of his tail) was one of such gravity. Neither could he fathom what the mouse intended to do with the wooden clip. The mouse didn't either, but he did know that to defeat a dragon with nothing but whiskers and a clothespin would be a mighty feat indeed, and the wounds he would (most likely) gain could be worn as a badge of honor.

2007-03-25 pirate witch: It's rather good, you should have entered it.

2007-03-26 mousepoet: Well, thanks! This was ages ago, I'd forgotten all about it. :)
