I cry inside,
Visions of my former life.
Flash before my eyes,
Cutting, always twist the knife.
Dark and light melt into one,
I can’t tell where things start or end.
Piercing the sky on a pitch black night,
Burning and yearning I never begin.
Love and lust,
In a burning hate.
Vandalize my inner star,
Because all you do is mutilate.
Spirit snapped,
Like a stricken bird.
I lie on my back,
I cannot utter a word.
