In this room of solitude
I wait on the floor.
Sprawled and bruised
My heartbeat is no more.
You know I’m here,
Rotting in a heap.
My blood has drained
And in the floor it seeps.
In your sleep I haunt you
Repeating what you’ve done.
Everywhere, you see me.
Your sanity has undone.
You hear me in the corner,
As you lay in your bed.
I whisper quietly,
And put thoughts into your head.
You know where I’m hidden,
What if someone comes to see?
Lying here, slaughtered,
They will know that it was thee.
So I murmur in the dark,
A tip from you to me,
“Bury me, Hide me deep,”
“Where no soul will ever see.”
Now I chant from my slumber,
You can hear my melody.
As I whisper in your dreams,
“Please, come bury me.”
