Open up my heart and take a peek.
Make sure not to let it leek.
Can you find yourself in there?
Do you wonder if I care?
Can I look in yours for me?
Open up and let me see.
Your heart is strange and yet so cold.
What is this that I have hold?
Out of your heart I pull and look
At what thing it seems I took.
A photograph of you and I.
I look down and start to cry.
Both our hearts are open wide.
For all to stare and look inside.
The tears are falling; wonder why.
Memories of you and I.
Can I keep this photograph?
You suggest rip it in half.
I'll take you and you take me.
Put me where I'm ment to be.
So you take the other part,
Put it back inside your heart.
I take mine and do the same,
Remember no one is to blame.
A needle and a thread will do.
A stitch for me and stitch for you.
We're all patched up from end to start.
