Black wings, bat wings
flit flutter fly,
dart twist and darken,
the bright morning sky,
little mousey heads
and lithe lizard limbs,
chickadee claws
and dragon jaws,
mire, dire, FIRE breath.
Peacock tail metallic blue,
bulls eyes, skulls eyes
straining air, staining air,
turn the sunlight blue.
Catch one, fetch one,
for your Lady Love,
let it pull a winged carriage,
floating high above,
eyes of flashing violet,
all humans revile it,
but tame it, lame it
for a child,
anything but wild,
it'll save the child,
brave the wild
with the child,
loyal to the end.
