The endless whisper of life
from the heroes of ancient times
to what could be
echoes.

The only sound in my sanctuary
that whisper that won’t die,
even when my mind seems to be
empty,
even when my body is on the
brink,
the whisper will not be silenced,
the sweet murmurings
of my pen
gliding across
a sheet of blank
paper.
