The wind is like one
Caressing my hair's full length
With sweet smelling hands.

Tell us about yourself:
Well, Mom is PEI Canadian and Dad is Hungarian-Canadian. My man is Ontario Canadian. I've loved reading since I couldn't read and I've wanted to be an author since I was six. I like whining and sulking. Actually, I don't like doing that. It's just a bad habit. My previous hobby was playing Team Fortress 2 on my man's account and making all the heterosexist gamer guys think we were an androgyne. Now I just win. My more constructive hobbies include singing, slightly critical reading (I'd say hypocritical, but some other meaning stole that word), Writersco, and nature-walking. In case you're having trouble finding an opponent, I'll play classical board games like Othello and Go. I am also a volunteer at Wynterblue Publishing, where I fold newsletter margins and check for missing pages.

What's your favorite Music?
I'm a sucker for Super Nintendo soundtracks. There's nothing like a good SPC. I'm also a fan of vintage jazz like Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald.

Who are your favorite authors and literary works?
I like Roald Dahl's children's books. He knows how to take the kind of wisdom that most elders don't even understand, and explain it so that children can understand it. I also find Bruce Coville's shorts to be creative, well executed, and inspiring.

Any other favorites?
I like food.

Tell us about your writings:
The first book I wrote was called The Ball. It was all dialogue with my own illustrations, and I wrote it for Grade 1 when I was six. It was about a ball that kept rolling away on flat ground from a girl who was trying to catch it. My favourite line from the text is, "Here, bally-bally-bally." Lately, most of my work has been short poetry.

Which of your writings would you recommend to a fellow member?
My favourite piece by me is 225.Poetry.Formatted.An Answered Riddle, though I haven't actually settled on its name. Why do I like it so much? Well, I wrote it in a fit of inspiration. It was fun to write in a rhythm, and engaging to dig up rhymes that weren't awkward. Another point of interest is how I used all that horrid literary crap that your teachers force-feed you, except I did it without trying hard, so it's not horrid or force-fed. It's just there if you want to bother with it. If you don't care for that scholarly stuff, don't worry, because the rest of the poem is good, too. Also, the imagery reminds me of how I'm supposed to feel about being alive, and not to get too caught up in self-criticism. If I ever feel the urge to accuse myself, I remember that the Holy Spirit is a confident Spirit, not a demeaning one.

Is there anything that helps you write?
Feeling good about myself and not worrying about being good enough.

Do you have any tips for members?
Quit whining. Get to work.

Would you like to promote anything?
I would like to promote proactive entertainment. You don't need electronics to entertain you. It's not that they're bad, but if you're bored without them, you are officially a wuss. Why don't you do something for yourself? Take a hike. Paint a picture. Cook. Sing. Hey, your grandma used to sing instead of watching TV, so it's not too far fetched.
